Lets settle this: The best Hand Cannon in Destiny?
With all the Hand Cannon posts going around, let's see which is the most popular for PvE once and for all.
Edit 1: Added PvE.
Edit 2: My personal opinion is hands down Fatebringer.
Update 1: After 1 hour, Fatebringer takes a clear lead with 42% of respondents choosing it as the Hand Cannon of choice for PvE.
UPDATE 2: It appears that the overwhelming favorite is FATEBRINGER!!!

For PVE? Fatebringer. That frees up an exotic (icebreaker, g-horn) and it's a beast. Only thing holding it back is the 300 damage cap.

1 ReplyI am going in the basis of what I have and for me it's Thorn the gun is a animal. The amount of precision shots I get and even if I don't I have mark of the devour to finish it off. It's a wonderful handcannon. Fatebringer looks boss though. I really want it but I need people to do the hard raid with.

I love Fatebringer but eventually even Firefly won't save it after the next DLC when damage is increased again. The title will be Hawkmoon's for the taking (really have to get me one of those!).

The only reason I would say thorn is because of the dot but fate bringer and last word are also excellent crucible weapons

15 RepliesAre people choosing fatebringer over the others because it is a legendary so it saves the exotic slot for something else? If so, that should not be considered in this poll. This is best hand cannon, period. Not best loadout Maybe it is the best tho, not hating on it, I just hope it doesn't get bonus points for only being a legendary

For pve fatebringer wins hands down. The firefly perk is amazing on a hand cannon, and the outlaw perk is great also. Hawk moon is the best cannon for pvp, the 3 lucky rounds, superior range and accuracy make it land some easy kills. Sometimes you can wipe out 4 people with one magazine.

Hawkmoon is the omega. Between 1-3 shots to drop a yellow. 2 shots to drop in PVP.

Thorn, TLW and Fatebringer are all better for different situations. It's mostly dependent on your play style.

Allright , let's get this straighten out. This is my opinion and I'm basing it on the fact that I have played with , The last word , FateBringer , The devil you know , The Devil you don't , Heaven can wait, Thorn , and a myriad of other hand cannons except for hawkmoon. So I can't comment on it . PvE = I will go for fatebringer , the fact that its a primary hand cannon with arc damage is already amazing as it stands , the fact that with precision kills your enemies will explode makes it a two type weapon like the murmur, it wrecks in arc burn nightfalls and weekly's as well as thralls in the new raid . PvP = I rather go with my thorn , at 331 attack with mark of the devourer , it is insane how fast I can take out guardians with headshots , 2 and l know the DoT will do the rest and can worry about the next enemy and help my team win the match .
