It's completely unfair that you can max your vanguard marks in two hours gameplay and how it takes forever to max crucible marks because you only get two for a loss and three for a win. But no matter what you can get 4 for completing a public even and an extremely high chance at getting ascendant materials for doing those. Bungie you need to create some type of balance to make it either harder to earn vanguard marks or easier to earn crucible marks. And then that's not counting the amount of vanguard marks you get for completing the daily weekly and nightfall strikes. You're basically forcing everyone to obtain pve gear when some people enjoy the pvp in the game. Just for the fact that it's 4x easier to get rep with and earn marks 4x faster. Something really needs to be done here about this issue for a balance between pvp and pve and making pvp less of a grind or making pve a harder grind please and thank you.

2 RepliesMake PvE an even harder grind!?! WTF, are you demented? Has playing Destiny made you lose your mind? I agree the monetary reward for playing PvP is extremely poor, but to ask that PvE be made even more of a grind instead of actually increasing the amount of Crucible marks awarded for playing PvP is down right stupid. Bungie have become notorious for making this game even more of a grind at every opportunity, to actually have players proclaim "please sir, can I have some more?" just beggars belief. By all means, plead with Bungie to increase the amount of Crucible marks awarded per match and I will heartily shout "hell yeah!"

One major thing you forgot to factor in on your math is the fact that you can pick up bounties. Also, Destiny is already PvP centric so I wouldn't be complaining about this particular issue. If you sit down to play an MMO and think "Oh my grinding out this reputation is going to take FOREVER" then you probably haven't played one before.

I hate that the rewards are horrible for PVP. You think they could at least through a strange coin at you every once in a while. #buffthatshit

3 RepliesTo all of you who don't believe me that you can't get vanguard capped in two hours and five minutes lets do the math. Our numbers are total 125 minutes 5 minute spawns on public evens and you get 4 vanguard marks per event. 125minutes/5minutes a spawn gives you 25 public evens in 2h5min then we multiply 25x4 which is 100 and bam there is your cap. No nightfall weekly needed to be done. Oh look at that you are vanguard capped and you have at least 8 ascendant shards or 8 ascendant energy. Possibly more than that because public evens drop them so often. This game is such a -blam!-ing grind oh my god it's so hard let me bitch pve is so hard. -blam!- all of you thinking pve is hard when it's not even close. If you want a grind do pvp you have to play at the most 50 games if you lose every one of them and at the least you will play 34 games if you win every one. And they all last longer than 10 minutes so therefore you have to play at the most 8.5 hours in crucible of you lose all the games and if you win them all its 5.5 hours. To the two hours you have to play for vanguard -blam!- all you PVE heroes. That don't even know what a grin is.

I agree that mining for crucible marks is much more time consuming, although I don't really get too upset over the current pace of acquisition compared to vanguard. What does frustrate me is that the majority of vendor only take crucible marks, and think that faction vendors should have an inventory for vanguard items as well.
I just don't understand the connection factions have with crucible marks
Seriously go -blam!- yourself you idiot

10 RepliesOk red let's think about this topic. One: PvP is fun with friends and not by oneself, you will always run into groups who dominate spawns or you will have players on your team not contribute. Two: PvE grind is long and time consuming and unless you have done the nightfall you do not get your max in two hours....unless, again, you are with friends and it takes a while anyways. Three: the pve gear seems to be more relevant than pvp gear for raids; depending on however class or your choice of stats you want to build up on. Crucible used to be easier to get marks but....players complained so now we have this two and three mark system. Nerfing down pve will screw over those of us who have jobs or lives beyond Destiny. Try to think of others before you demand that your views are to be forced onto others.

Edited by Krytek: 12/29/2014 7:48:01 PMMy whole goal for this is to get Bungie and the community to realize that the amount of crucible marks for you for losing(2) or winning(3) a 15 minute match is unfair to the amount you get for doing 15 minutes of public events which is 12 vanguard marks. And that crucible marks should be balanced out a little better on how many you get per match.

No all they need to do is raise the max number of marks u can earn and then make crucible marks just as easy to get as vangaurd marks
-
Honestly who likes the laggy halo call of duty multiplayer mess lol

Or we could just simply go to a one mark for everything system! Just saying, why adjust it so the guys on the other side of the fence start to say it's greener over here now!?! Look at that, new weekly max of 200(or 150 or...whatever).
Yeah, yeah, there'd be a few more things to get adjusted but the number of currencies and materials in the current game do not reflect the size of the game properly, so let's start trimming the fat.
3 RepliesPvE is a grind as it is, it should be made so that Factions accept Vanguard Marks AND Crucible Marks.
