Best Weapon for Thrall?
I'm wanting to know a good weapon for mowing down thrall?
Fully auto: spray and pray? Or precision scout with firefly?
I would assume it's Fatebringer. But I'm out of luck there :[.
Just was hoping for a 'for sure' weapon that'll keep them off of me.

I was testing my TFWPKY 1969 which came with explosive and AP rounds that was quite effective, though I couldn't decide between those two perks; the explosive rounds were good for crowds, but the AP rounds could take down two with one shot if they lined up. I'd still prefer a scout rifle with firefly, though (I think the Crucible vendor has a really good one, as it has balanced RoF and Stability, too). One that surprised me, however, was a gift I got for leveling up my Vanguard; I got Secret Handshake. Once you unlock some of the perks for it, it becomes quite effective against hordes of Thralls; you get ammo for every kill, you can buff reload speed after a kill (my one reloads six shells faster than a hand cannon), it has a decent RoF (though not full auto it lets off rounds as quickly as Found Verdict) and has a decent stability, too.

[b]The Satariene Rapier[/b] from the crubical vendor will work wonders for thralls. It's almost identical to my gheleons demise (epuipped on my warlock) and that thing mops them up. The firefly perk tears them a new one. I just picked one up that's equipped on my Hunter if you want to give it a look.

Edited by Leeves: 12/27/2014 9:24:39 PMAnything with firefly. Hardlight is amazing as well with the over-penetrate + ricochet. You can also aoe dot grenade and they will wait on the other side for a few seconds, pick them off with what you want.

Bad juju works well since there's no reload. Plus you can use your golden gun with combustion perk more.

Fusion rifle it can melt thru thraw in a line. The only other weapon that can do multi damage is weapon with crit explosions

I discovered today that using a low rate of fire heavy machine gun is mega fun. You can headshot each thrall with a single bullet and hold down the trigger if it gets too much. This is also brilliant for the eris morn bounty of killing 4 hive with a heavy multiple times.

I promise you it's either Fatebringer or Hard Light. Both have ridiculous crowd control abilities. One headshot to a crowd of thralls and 4 thralls die. Hard Light? You just spray that bad boy and it eats through them. The ones in the back become Swiss cheese by the time the closest ones die.

Honestly I use thorn. It goes through its targets and is a OHK with the dot. Firefly on a scout rifle is going to work the best I think. (Since you don't have fatebringer)

3 RepliesI just looked through all the comments and literally no one but myself suggested icebreaker. Dudes, look at the perk tree. You don't even have to aim that shit. It regenerates ammo, and gives added agility. Sure have fatebringer as a primary if you need to let it regen. But I solo it with icebreaker

I use Hard Light. It nows through enemies like nothing. Bad Juju is nice against thrall with not having to reload ever, as long as you're getting kills.
