Having trouble signing in or playing games online? Thank the lizard squad, translation pre-pubescent arse wipes who like to ruin the online experience for gamers.
They have not hacked the networks (extracted info or re-written code), they have DDOS'ed the servers, from my limited understanding just means they have bombarded the networks with millions of execute commands and that crashes the servers. The traffic of Christmas consoles may have also worsened this due to the additional traffic. I read one user here on b.net advising you to keep trying to sign on over and over again, ignore them. This does not help and in effect is exactly what the Lizard squad are doing and also it only delays the time for MS & Sony to catch the real culprits and this user is probably one of these bastards anyway.
Check the links below to see what is happening on XBL or PSN as regards to these network problems.

Hopefully somebody takes these arseholes down soon but if not keep checking the links if you were not already aware of them.
Update: Servers should all be online, try resetting your modem if you still cannot access online services.
Please bump for #Gaming
Thank you

1 ReplyThey did get stopped by the finest squad

2 RepliesI don't know if you would like to add this to the OP but if people can't get on Live or PSN they should try to reset their routers and wait about 15 seconds and turn it back on and see if they can connect.
-
5 RepliesApparently it's somewhat back online. My Bungie account is linked with my PSN and I couldn't log onto this for the past 3 days, but know I can.

Bump for info.

1 ReplyAt least most of my Christmas games were single player games. I got Alien: Isolation, The Evil Within, and Metro: Redux. I also got The Crew, but I can't play it until PSN gets back online. Online-only games are never a good idea, in my opinion.

2 RepliesIt looks like PSN is starting to come back up for PS4! Just not for me :(

3 RepliesI'm connected but can't play multiplayer on XBL

7 RepliesXbox Live came back around 5-ish yesterday

4 RepliesXbl is supposedly back, but I can't download Tetris.. It keeps getting to 100% and then saying to test my connection and try again. I test my connection and it says there are problems 'on their side' do you know what's up with that? I would make my own thread about it but you seem to be like the leader of #gaming (I see you everywhere) and I figure you probably have the most reliable info on it. Thanks.

3 RepliesPSN can easily disable their server, reassign server address, and then enable it after upgrading security. Users will be able to begin signing on little by little due to congestion of everyone trying to sign on at once but will get done.

Info bump, how many threads about the same subject do we need?
3 RepliesNot having problems on Xbox Live, but the website is having problems.

3 RepliesDoes it work now

Info Bump.

3 RepliesAt least it's finally in the process of being fixed. It went from all XBL products/services to XB1, so it should be all better tomorrow. In that case, time for me to pull a Minecraft and sleep to skip to tomorrow. Good night!
