My reason is very personal: My wife has been through a lot in her life (her mother abused her and all her siblings growing up and her first husband physically abused her as well). Because of these years of abuse she had to have surgery on the ulnar nerve (the nerve that runs through the funny bone in your elbow). It was trapped in her elbow so no signals were making it to her hand. They had to take the nerve and wrap it around to the front of her arm and sew it down into the muscle to protect it and cut out a piece of bone in her elbow. Due to this surgery she now suffers from a horrible pain condition called CRPS for which there is no cure and is spreading to other parts of her body other than the arm she had surgery on. She is the greatest fighter I have ever seen and never gives up so I will build my Guardian to look as closely to her as I can. I am going to play as my hero, my love, my life. And if you or anyone else doesn't like it or thinks it is weird; you can -blam!- OFF!!!

I've posted this before, but: Female Titan = Samus Aran. Do I need to say more?
-
rp reasons. my toons have names, personalities and backstories
-
Just to change it up mainly. I made a female warlock after watching the live action trailer.
-
Because the female voice actors honestly sound like they're putting in more effort than the male voice actors? (Except for the male Awoken)
-
Because we had a choice
-
She moans on taking damage, the more critical the harder she moans. If I wanted to hear a dude grunt all day, I'd shovel snow.
-
I usually don't play as a female, but I usually do for at least one play-through to see how if at all the gameplay differs. It doesn't really make sense to me that people think our avatars should strictly represent us, as in brutal honesty most of us would die to the first vandal with a line rifle. It's a role-playing game, not a self-representation game.
-
Because most women I've met in my life are way more badass and stronger than any men. Like ever. Hence why I love having a female character.
-
It's nice to stare at a female butt when walking around in the tower.
-
I don't understand why you don't understand. The number of threads like this suggests that there are too many boys trying to pick up girls in a game and suffering a crisis when they realize they're hot and bothered over a guy.
-
Titan Human Male, Hunter Awoken Male and Warlock Human Female. Firstly I believe there are far too many swinging D1cks in the tower and secondly at least one character will put the toilet seat down in our crib! Btw Hunter does all the cooking, he's pretty good with the blades. Just don't ask Titan to fluff your pillows, blam feathers everywhere!
-
Cuz male hunters look fat warlock are gay and a female titan with armamantarium looks like she's got orangutans titties lol. So what! Who cares. Its not like theres exclusive nudity involved or anything. Lol to each his own. I have 3 female characters big whoop

7 RepliesEdited by jay p: 12/26/2014 7:30:24 PMI don't understand why people play is exo or awoken. You are clearly not exo or awoken. WTF man. Don't play as something you aren't. I had to quit meteoid and tomb raider too. And I can't play most RPG. They force me to have a female in my party, and I can't control the female because I'm not female! I just quit destiny, BTW. I'm 6'2" and I couldn't make a guardian that was taller than average height. I refuse to play a guardian that isn't a proper representation of me.
-
1 ReplyBecause to me a warkock is basically a witch...and witches need to be bitches..
-
Well I RP alot because I come to destiny from lots of other mmo's so it just seemed natural to me, but I usually don't default to women unless I have a cool idea for that character. (I.E. my female titan.)
-
Looking at a guys ass wiggle around tower seems gay :P so I watch a women's ;)
-
I have a female warlock because in the trailer the warlock was a female
-
You get more raid/strike team invites.
-
I get so many more fireteam invites. Which just makes it oodles more fun when I join and they hear my voice.
-
1 ReplyBecause we're not close-minded Conservative -blam!- wits, like yourself?
-
'Cause I originally wanted one character of each race, but the male awoken face/haircut combinations all look like emo potatoes.
-
Personally, I like being a female character in games frequently. I try to make at least one character in each game in which it is possible. I don't know if it's the aesthetic of it all or if I just like the break in male voices and hum-drum typical male attitude, but I just feel a need to play with variety
-
Because my Titan is -blam!-ing hot, yo
-
Because I'll never have the effeminate body that I desire in real life, but in video games I can have the body I want! Except that Destiny doesn't let you customize for crap.
