PVP shotgun users = noobs?
The whole shotgun deal from destiny is a cheap one, copied and pasted from halo game style. Shotguns are a cheap way of playing PVP that requires no skill. Excuse my rant, just wondering in anyone else felt the same at all?

I get what you all are saying and to correct my post, I think people who ONLY use shotguns and nothing else need to diversify. The run, slide, shotgun combo is pretty hard to counter. Also shotgun, punch is basically an instakill. And with all the mobility in this game, it is so much easier to get into close range, so shotgun's range isn't that big of a negative.

I usually do - especially just after being shottied for the 5th time on Twilight Gap - until I grab a shottie myself and realise there is some skill involved, thanks to the pants range on the thing. Next time you get shottied, look at their stats at the end of the game - they're usually on a negative KD. Nowadays, I blame myself when it happens - it's obvious when someone's shottying, just keep them at arm's length and pick them off.

Hmmmmmmm mmmmmmmmmmmmm the creators of halo "copied and pasted" (oddly enough I don't remember my shotty in the halo series encrusted with hive skulls) one of the most beloved aspects and guns in the game?what?! How dare they! Fusion rifles are far far noobier and this debate will go on forever so it doesn't matter. If a kid just goes 1 for 1 with a shotty there is a little noobiness to that. But when I go for 25 kills and a 3-5 k/d ratio then I think it's hard to argue that I'm a "noob" when I've been doing this well since halo ce. Solution for shotguns: Don't sprint everywhere. ADS before entering room. Fusion rifle: Learn to strafe

40% of the problem is 12 year old scrubs with nothing but shotguns/fusions, 40% of the problem is that secondary ammo is -blam!-ing EVERYWHERE, and 20% is the maps are all close range

Noobs are fusion rifle users. You walk all slow and fire from the hip at range for one shots.

Edited by xl Kyzer lx: 12/25/2014 2:08:27 PMMaybe you need to get better at the game, if it's not shot guns then I'm sure you'd complain about something else, but the guns are in the game man, don't be mad cause you're not sharp enough to keep distance between you and the other person, try to spec your guy for agility so you have faster movement making it harder for them to one shot you, now run along jimmy and play nice.

I've been using the swordbreaker to get this thorn bounty done. I realized there just isn't that many legendary/exotic void weapons out there.

It's people like you who annoy me when they don't like something so you gotta bitch about how cheap it is. Get with it or get off

No, I do not feel the same. I feel as though that if someone thinks something is "over used" or "op" then that is sad. In some cases it is understandable (auto rifle for example) but each weapon requires some amount of skill to use. Shotguns are an effective tool in crucible depending on your playstile, if you like up close and personal playstile, then this gun worke well for the player. Any weapon in the game can be considered a noob weapon by any person who thinks it is op.

It's mainly that they have unlimited special ammo practically. I wish they would spawn special ammo less often.

Nope I love using them they do take skill if you run and gun with them like i do but those damn Fusion rifles those are the problem ... They can one shot you from close or half way across the map
