So to start, I consider myself a semi-casual player. Sometimes I feel like playing Crucible, Most of the time I prefer to run Strikes or Weekly/Nightfall and sometimes I feel like playing the raid. One of the biggest rifts I've seen on these forums lies between the PvPers and the PvErs and the supposed 'unbalanced' reward system. Many people use an argument that relies heavily on the BELIEF that this game is split evenly between PvP and PvE, however this is simply not the case. It's not a game that's sold as a purely PvP focused and oriented game, but people will argue like it is. It's an Expansive (As in, has multiple aspects) Multi-Player Cooperative First Person Shooter with Multiplayer PvP, and yet some people feel as if because it's an FPS it somehow should be focused on the PvP aspect. Which is a grossly incorrect assumption or assertion.
All that having been said, I am for one incredibly tired of this broken record that keeps playing as far a balanced reward systems. First of all, anyone who truly believes the PvP aspect of the game demands the same kind of time and dedication as the PvE aspect is just dead wrong. There is little to absolutely no coordination in the Crucible, and up until recently we weren't even allowed to have a Fireteam Voice Channel, why? Because it's completely unecessary. Most people don't organize counterattacks or coordinate attacks in the one PvP playlist which actually calls for it, Control. It's basically just a frenzy of players having at each other until one team scores enough points.
You DON'T have to:
Fly to Earth/Tower/Moon/Venus or Mars
Find groups on the forums (there's matchmaking!)
In fact, all you have to do when you log in and select a character is join a playlist straight from Orbit. Matches usually last less than 10 minutes, all you have to do is earn Marks and Collect Reputation and new Commendations. In the Tower, a majority of the gear which can be purchased requires you to play Crucible. So you are completely free to pick and choose which pieces of gear best suit your interests and playstyles. This is far superior to those who play PvE and rely heavily on the RNG to get the gear they want. So when there is end game content such as a raid which rewards gear that is better than anything you can get from the Tower, of course it makes sense that the people who had to:
- Find a group of 5 other individuals willing and skilled enough to dedicate an hour or more (There is no matchmaking for Weekly/Nightfall/Raid)
- Coordinate said 6 total players to successfully complete the grueling tasks set by the raid
- Have the RNG actually reward them with gear they wanted (Should I bring up Chatterwhite?)
- Limited to 1 Full Hard Mode Clear a WEEK
Get the best gear in game. So many people argue that it's 'unfair' that PvPers can't get 32, yet there is absolutely no reason to get Level 32. You don't need to be 32 to do anything, it's not mandated for Raiding or PvP but people feel as if it is. All this aside, there is absolutely no justification for PvPers being granted the same rewards other than a sense of entitlement because they bought the game. Sorry, but when you buy a multi-aspect game to focus simply on one aspect (A pretty insignificant aspect of the game at that) you're gonna have a bad time and Destiny is clearly NOT the game for you.

In reality if somebody is a PVPer he's a noob while if somebody's a PVEer he's a coordinated player. If somebody does both to maximize their rewards and overall bafassness then they're a good guardian If any of you think the crucible takes skill your delusional, that's the biggest noob catering clusterfùck I've ever seen in modern fps. No consistency whatsoever. Hell I'm good at it and I don't even try, which is what it's intended for. Noobs who don't want to try because it's just a game. PVP on the other hand is the real proving ground in this game. All of you saying the raid is easy have probably completed it less than ten times and probably never on hard mode. This is where your weapons matter, your communication matter, your class has impact, and your teammates can't be dumbshits. In the raid that is, if you just play strike playlists I wouldn't really call you a PVEer. If you want to compare a match of crucible to the nightfall strike then go ahead and try. I'll be happy to tell you how retarded that notion is.
