3 of same class or 1 of each? HELP!!!
So I've had 3 characters one of each class since the beginning of the game, and I've read lots of debate about what people think about having 1 of each and also what people think of having 3 of the same...
Can anyone help me decide to either keep my 3 lvl 30-31s or delete 1-2 to make all the same?
You need 43 shards per character to get 32 which is 129 shards to get 3 32s of different classes, idk if I have the playtime to accomplish this on all 3 toons, I've gotten a lot of radiant shards but could only level up 1 toon to 32 if I had the gear, so I'm considering deleting 1-2 and just focus on 1 or 2 classes...
Thoughts??
Hunter is my main and I have 2/3 raid pieces I could get either a helm or arms to hit 32 but just haven't spent the shards cuz I'm so torn :/

The smart thing to do is make 2 of the same and make 1 of the other classes.

3 all the way. Limit your self to one raid/nightfall /weekly a week? Easier to level up your gear too

I love having the versatility of being able to switch between all three classes for whatever the situation calls for. So I'd say one of each unless you absolutely hate the way one class plays, but when I started I thought I would hate the Titan but now it's almost as favored as my warlock. I feel also that it's prolly get boring having 2-3 characters the same class bc once it gets 32 then there's basically nothing else to do. Having 3 will keep me busy and entertained til I gotta get my 3 ppl to 35 (or whatever the cap for HoW will be)

It's a matter of preference and how much time and effort you put in or care to put in. Having 3 of the same class means you only need to focus on 1 set of armor and spending all shards for tht 1 set. Rather than having to raid over and over until you've acquired 3 sets of armor because you have all classes. And then you need 3 times the amount of shards to upgrade all 3 sets of armor. Not to mention all the exp you need to level all 3 sets.

Personal preference I used to have all three but didn't like my warlock that much deleted him considered making another titan but went with hunter since I enjoyed it a little bit more. After that I never touched my titan and after a month of not touching that character I made a third hunter and play on all three of them definetly some pros and cons to having all three the same.

I have 2 warlocks coz I have spare armor. I don't switch over armor just weapons when necessary.

1 of each. This way any legendary or exotic gear you get will be useful.

For me I'm 2 warlock 1 hunter. My warlocks are 32, and the hunter 30.... Only because I don't have enough wire to reach 31. I had one of every class, but i main the warlock I love the way it plays, so taking time out to use two classes I didn't enjoy using nearly as much was not as fun. So I deleted the Titan, and kept the hunter, and I considered deleting it, but the time invested in it, and the gear it received made me decide I would rather keep it than make a third warlock. Plus I like the idea of doing something other than using only warlocks despite how much I like the class.

I have one of each and I just hit 32 last night. The game gets too boring playing one character. Besides no matter what armor you get from nightfall or crucible or vanguard strike, you have the class for it.

The game is more fun a last longer if you have 1 of each . having 3 of one class just makes to short an easy to get a player to 32 an that's a cheap boring way to do things. Another bonus of having 1 of each is that you'll have the ability's to handle any encounter. An if you get ANY exotic armor then you'll have a class that can use it.

I'd say get 2 of one class and then a secondary class, I have all 3 but barely play my warlock

Also your maths is wrong its 63 shards(3 raid pieces) to upgrade to level 32 because 21 shards on each piece, which is funny as that means you need to get 189 shards LOL to get them all 32. Just to let you know that all three of my classes have all the ability to be level 32. I also even got the hunter raid helm and titan raid helm on the same day. My advice is to keep at it dude, this raid is not going anywhere. Take your time man. Another thing is to save your shards until one of the classes has 3 raid pieces and make that your first level 32.

If you are going to have some free time I do three of the same class and grind the raid + night fall 3 times. Then I would strip the gear and start 3 of the next class. Repeat till you have completed the raid 9 times, 3 with each character.

I have two titans to improve drop rates and I had a hunter. I maxed it out and played on it a lot but ended up not enjoying it so I made a warlock.

Try them all out and play the class you truly enjoy. I never cared for hunters or locks, so I primarily had a titan, than I decided I could improve my chances at loot by making three. So I deleted the other classes and now have 3 Titans

1 Reply3 of same - you will reach gear real quick, and shards etc u need aswell since you will focus 7 slots armor and weapons instead of armorx3 different chars bad side : what will you do when you get the things you need really early? one of each(which i have) : you play every part of game bad side: need to be lucky for good drops

2 RepliesYou can ask for all the advice you want but at the end of the day do what will keep you enjoying the game. People with 3 of the same class either A: Really enjoy that class or B: Are just using that as a means to grind gear 3x as fast. IMO its silly to do that considering current raid gear will be pointless each subsequent DLC release.

It came down to how much time I can play and I decided to make all3 the same.

Im doing 2 of the same and 1 different. Gives you more chances for the character you like and also another character to play with if you get bored
