So I have yet to see a good pvp player suck at pve. Pve is the easiest, most repetitive bs in destiny. The crucible truly tests your skills. Those of you who have a crucible phobia, to put it plainly: suck. Those of you who admittedly suck yet still play, I commend you for jumping in the fire.
Keep shooting at bullet sponges and predictable ai and brag about being good. You know you're bad; keep lying to yourself.
EDIT: let's use some logic here people. In pve you have perfect information. You know where, when, how many and what enemies are spawning. Pvp is much different. Human beings are unpredictable, and consequently more challenging to beat. The skill set necessary to do well in pvp translates well to pve--not vice versa. Some one challenge that logic without calling me a retard, cod noob, scrub...etc.
Edit 2: Thanks for the lively debate fellas. Is it possible we keep the keyboard courage to a minimum? If you disagree with me please explain why. I know it's tempting to personally attack me over the internet without consequences, but let's try to be nice.
Edit 3: apparently the community thinks I'm a scrub. Here are some facts: please go to destiny tracker and look up your profile. There's a percentile associated with your stats. I have a 1.31 kd which places me in the 33% percentile. That means my kd is better than 67% of other players. Does that mean I'm good? I don't know. Does that mean I'm a scrub. Most likely not.

4 RepliesDon't tell these guys they're not good man. You'll never get them to reason with truth. Here's the thing. I agree 100 percent PvP shows true skill over PvE for every argument you stated above. Anyone with half a brain and less pride would agree with you. However, if Bungie would just stop finger-poppin each other's assholes and throw in Private Matches so true competitors could participate in MLG regulated rules, we would find out who is the most talented among PvP'ers... k/d speaks only for a portion of skill, especially in these scrub-pub lobbies

I'm drastically better at PvP than pve. I've always been an fps gamer with counter strike and the halo series. I'm better than 99% of the community in PvP in all major categories (not bragging) and my friends. Yet my same friends who I generally carry in PvP are all better at pve than me. They know the game inside and out while I just play PvP well.
-
4 RepliesI'd drop you like a bad habit. I hope I see you in crucible.
-
Valid argument, however I don't believe it is the case. Yes human being are "more" unpredictable than ai, but relatively easy to predict what they will do still. It's called group thermodynamics, and it's a law of what people in a group will so, and yes even gamers follow this rule. Also, it's very bold for you to say that pve players suck, and then get offended when people attack you, I've played with everyone, and i don't think either is better, pve is better at pve and pvp is better at pvp, neither transfers better than the other, it's not a which one is better argument, correlation does not mean causation, just because a few ppl you have found manage to be better at pve and they play pvp, why can't that mean they are part of the population that are just skilled at video games?
-
No shit PvPers are good at PvE. It's the same thing. Congrats. You can shoot a virtual gun better than someone.

12 RepliesSoooo in order to be good in PvP you need to be good in pve first. Have fun getting the miniscule amount of loot from PvP. I don't play much crucible but when I do 95% of my games I have at least a 1.5 kdr. In my eyes PvP and pve players are the same.pve players shoot at bullet sponges but at least the difficulty can be ramped up and the loot is way better. And PvP players play as much pve as the rest of us. So what makes you so special to say you're better at destiny? This isn't cod. Destiny is a pve focused game dude. I said it before in order to get good gear for PvP you need to I repeat NEED TO play pve. So your argument is invalid

6 RepliesYour arrogance still makes you look like a scrub, no matter what you say.
-
3 RepliesAre you an arseho!e in real life or do you just keep it for the forums...I don't play in crucible myself as for me it's a lagging piece of sh!t.

4 RepliesEdited by Apex of War: 12/25/2014 4:02:30 PMThis PvP does not prove who's better because not everybody has access to everything. As a Titan, I do not have access to Bladedancer. I do not have access to stealth, Nova Bomb, blink strike, ranged melee with a DoT. I have shoulder charge which is usually countered with a shotgun. I do not have access to Vex Mythoclast. I do not have access to Gjallahorn. I do not have access to things that would improve my kdr where in CoD or Halo, everybody has access to all skills and weapons. In this game, even bad players can get a decent amount of kills with plenty of OHK mechanics preventing me from reacting and countering. Everybody knows where everyone is on the mini map, which disallows me to backdoor people like I do in other games. I have 2.0+ kdr in every FPS game I've owned except this one. I don't complain, I work with what I have, but my PvP 'kdr' is limited because of it. I still consider myself a good player.
-
1 ReplyOk so you actually play as a Hunter, with the Thorn, yet only have a 1.31 kdr. Yes, you must be one of the best players of Destiny; using the most OP equipment and class for PVP but still having those stats made me giggle a little. BTW I'm a PVE player mostly (yet play PVP sometimes) and still would own you. Go learn to play before you state more bull$hit.
-
Facing players whose play-style you don't know vs AI that are usually in the same spot, doing the same thing over and over.
-
First let me preface this by saying I personally enjoy pve more. However, I say they are equal. Here is why: PvP players have to deal with death coming quickly at the hands of someone who can do everything they can do. In an evenly matched PvP match, you can expect your KD to be roughly 1. PvE players have to deal with WAY more enemies, who (if you're like me and solo nightfalls) can potentially kill you in one shot whilst taking 2... 3... Even 4 mags to kill. This is the biggest note to equalizing them that I see

6 RepliesEdited by VIK_DOOM: 12/25/2014 6:42:26 AMYou're bad because I don't usually pvp and when I do, I'm still better than you, ''pvp l33t no scoper'' In fact, if you're going to pull out ''percentile stats'' 3% on both highest killstreak and total kills in a match, can you do that? I got the Invective kd spread bounty done in a single match..

Go back to COD. SmH

Pve in destiny is better than most other games ive played. Pvp in destiny is below average compared to other games. Good thing i play destiny for its pve.
-
And your edit 3 is priceless
-
I admit I was going to bash you for saying you are a PVP elitist then I checked your K/D and saw it was on par with mine so ........ I agree with your post in every way
-
I like both personally but I've seen some guys who are horrible at pvp play pve well and vice versa.
-
I completely agree with the OP. I'm slightly below average at PvP but it is the most challenging and fun part of the game. There are no YouTube guides on how to win at PvP every time all the time.
-
Completely agree.
-
I just don't really like destiny's pvp, I prefer PvE. Come at me bro'.
-
A balanced PVP game tests your skills and a cheese filled PVP tries your patience. There's a difference. You might be better at putting up with invisible blade dancers, blink strike BS, and PVE guns ruling the PVP portion of Destiny but if I want to play PVP it won't be in this cheese filled multiplayer. Merry Christmas.
-
1 ReplyLol another reason why I hate pvps.......people like you. Merry Christmas

1 ReplyEdited by JumpingZebra428: 12/25/2014 7:57:43 AMKd don't mean shit in any game. Do we give a -blam!- if your in the top 33%. No we don't.
-
4 RepliesNow im no expert, but for someone thats a crucible player, top 33% is terrible
-
2 RepliesYou're not right or wrong. Crucible is truly a test of skill, but depending on the type of PvE, it can be a test of teamwork and cooperation. Plus, there's better rewards in PvE
