So I have yet to see a good pvp player suck at pve. Pve is the easiest, most repetitive bs in destiny. The crucible truly tests your skills. Those of you who have a crucible phobia, to put it plainly: suck. Those of you who admittedly suck yet still play, I commend you for jumping in the fire.
Keep shooting at bullet sponges and predictable ai and brag about being good. You know you're bad; keep lying to yourself.
EDIT: let's use some logic here people. In pve you have perfect information. You know where, when, how many and what enemies are spawning. Pvp is much different. Human beings are unpredictable, and consequently more challenging to beat. The skill set necessary to do well in pvp translates well to pve--not vice versa. Some one challenge that logic without calling me a retard, cod noob, scrub...etc.
Edit 2: Thanks for the lively debate fellas. Is it possible we keep the keyboard courage to a minimum? If you disagree with me please explain why. I know it's tempting to personally attack me over the internet without consequences, but let's try to be nice.
Edit 3: apparently the community thinks I'm a scrub. Here are some facts: please go to destiny tracker and look up your profile. There's a percentile associated with your stats. I have a 1.31 kd which places me in the 33% percentile. That means my kd is better than 67% of other players. Does that mean I'm good? I don't know. Does that mean I'm a scrub. Most likely not.

1 ReplyWhat is this thread supposed to be doing? Making yourself feel good? It makes no sense to write a thread like this because all you are trying to do is stir up the community and turn people against each other. People like you and the decisions you make is one reason why their are arguments over which class is better.
-
1 ReplyPeople who run around spamming shotguns suck
-
3 RepliesPvE players tend to learn how to work as a team, and build a bond unlike pvp players. Now there ARe games where pvp builds bonds (Battlefield was one for me)
-
2 RepliesYour a scrub.
-
11 RepliesLol @ your crappy raid stats, you have only 2 raid completions and you think you can talk crap about PvE players? You're funny.
-
1 ReplyThose who are better in PvP are usually better in PvE. There's not really a good argument against this. I'm not trying to be harsh to those who prefer PvE or are not good at PvP. In PvP you have to predict your enemies movements because you're playing a different person each time, and players learn how to adjust as they play against someone. In PvE, it's the same strikes and enemies, and all you have to do is find cover or run out of the area if you're having a hard time. PvE is great and fun though. I'll admit that some people just like to run around with shotguns as some people complain, but if you're a good player, there's an easy solution. Don't get within range.

It only seems fair that we get level 32 gear too.
-
It's good I'm a PVP player then.
-
You are absolutely right my friend. Strong PvP players can adjust to PvE flawlessly. I am a perfect example of this. I played PvP to get to lvl20 when i first got the game so i had no clue that some missions had little tricks to bypass certain areas. Kids laughed at me because I didn't know I could simply sparrow past enemies. They stopped laughing once they realized that I was/am their only hope for revival/survival. Lol PvP > PvE
-
Just because the majority of the Destiny player base is not particularly skilled at PvP, doesn't mean they suck at the game.
-
1 ReplyI run around with a shotgun invis , once in a while I bring out rocket launcher . I have 1.5 kd lol..... So I should be hella good in raids yeah ?
-
8 Repliesso if you have a 2.1 K/D you're better than 200% of destiny players?? PvE players > PvP players people who enjoy game > pretentious clams gamers enjoying content w/ friends > scrubs looking to prove themselves should I go on? it's all true if I put it on the internet, right? /rant
-
I lag like crazy in PvP.. Still run a 1.0 K/D though
-
6 RepliesMy PvP > your PvP stats Regardless, destiny's PvP isn't competitive AT ALL. No skilled gunplay what so ever. The fact that you consider a destiny PvP player impressive is a bit sad. In halo you would have inevitably been hard negative. Are you on Playstation? I have nothing against the consoles people chose(it's just preference) but the only people I see defend destiny's multiplayer are always on playstation...
-
1 ReplyI would sort of agree with you if Destiny's pvp wasn't so unbalanced, glitchy, and casual friendly
-
3 RepliesThen what percentile is my 2.something kd in?
-
2 RepliesJust bc you go no life on crucible pal doesn't mean you're good at pve. Shut the hell up
-
Rarely play crucible, not too bad at it never taken the time to get used to the game properly or the multiplayer maps... Let's be honest crucible isn't great, if I wanted to play a decent FPS on my ps4, I have a lot better options in my games collection than Destiny
-
19 Replies90% of pvp matches I have played, people camp corners and heavy ammo crates. PVP = Camping scrubs.
-
I'm not bad at crucible, but I do prefer to play pve. Mainly because every time i play crucible all i see is suros regime. I'm tired of seeing that gun run pvp.
-
2 RepliesMy thoughts... PvE requires high level of strategy to beat the hardest missions/strikes/raids. You can get by in PvE with bad gun skill and slow reaction as long as you have a great strategy in place. PvP requires high level of gun skill and reaction time. The best PvP players have great gun skill, great reaction time, and are great strategists. Therefore, I think a great PvP player is the best overall at the game but just because someone is good at PvP, such as a little kid, may have good reaction to and good gun skill but he can't strategize where and when to attack first. Great PvE players doesn't mean they are going to be good in crucible but they tend to be the older crowd so their reaction time and gun skill aren't as good.
-
Oh also, being good at PvP as a signal of skill is relative to what guns you use. If you use AR and shotgun you are alright, fusion rifle you are trash, single shot guns are better cause they require aim, snipers are solid. So people who play lots of pvp and run around with Suros and a fusion rifle are probably worse than 50% of PvE players
-
My Kill /Death ratio is always 1.01-2.5,but i still prefer vanguard, crucible never gives me something
-
8 RepliesYou're kind of an asshole. You made a whole thread just to say you are better than ppl for playing PvP? Let people play they want to play, if they suck then they suck. But if they have a good time playing the game it doesn't matter. Not everyone is good at video games and singling out those people isn't doing anyone any good.
-
1 ReplyIm not bad at crucible, and I still enjoy ROC strikes because of all them legendary engrams :O
-
4 RepliesDon't tell these guys they're not good man. You'll never get them to reason with truth. Here's the thing. I agree 100 percent PvP shows true skill over PvE for every argument you stated above. Anyone with half a brain and less pride would agree with you. However, if Bungie would just stop finger-poppin each other's assholes and throw in Private Matches so true competitors could participate in MLG regulated rules, we would find out who is the most talented among PvP'ers... k/d speaks only for a portion of skill, especially in these scrub-pub lobbies
