PVP players > PVE players

So I have yet to see a good pvp player suck at pve. Pve is the easiest, most repetitive bs in destiny. The crucible truly tests your skills. Those of you who have a crucible phobia, to put it plainly: suck. Those of you who admittedly suck yet still play, I commend you for jumping in the fire. Keep shooting at bullet sponges and predictable ai and brag about being good. You know you're bad; keep lying to yourself. EDIT: let's use some logic here people. In pve you have perfect information. You know where, when, how many and what enemies are spawning. Pvp is much different. Human beings are unpredictable, and consequently more challenging to beat. The skill set necessary to do well in pvp translates well to pve--not vice versa. Some one challenge that logic without calling me a retard, cod noob, scrub...etc. Edit 2: Thanks for the lively debate fellas. Is it possible we keep the keyboard courage to a minimum? If you disagree with me please explain why. I know it's tempting to personally attack me over the internet without consequences, but let's try to be nice. Edit 3: apparently the community thinks I'm a scrub. Here are some facts: please go to destiny tracker and look up your profile. There's a percentile associated with your stats. I have a 1.31 kd which places me in the 33% percentile. That means my kd is better than 67% of other players. Does that mean I'm good? I don't know. Does that mean I'm a scrub. Most likely not.

  • I used to pvp the shit out of this game, until- yeah, I tried my first roc strike. It was 10x more enjoyable, and you get WAY better loot. In crucible, you are lucky to get a blue engram. In roc strikes, you are guranteed at least 3 blue engrams and a high chance at legendary items. So you are wrong. PvE is way better.

  • This is dumb. You could go a whole day against poor crucible teams or manage to nail a really good team and because you win the match you brag. In crucible you respawn, nightfall you do not.. (Since we are being petty)

  • Really I like pve cause I like to get out and about instead of seeing the same four or five maps over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over Aside from that yeah pvp actually puts your skills to the test I believe and

  • I'd say you're good at neither. Stats and grimoire tell all. Don't make a post about this subject if you don't have any valid stats or experience to back it up.

  • I do tend to agree that if you are good at PvP, you are probably good at Pve. This doesn't seem to be true the other way around. That's not to say someone who is good at PvE has to be good at PvP. I'm in the top 1% for PvP and I know I'm good at both :)

      • Pvp is just as repetitive as pve. Auto aim is the same in each.

      • I would have to agree. Almost everyone I've looked up with a good Crucible KD also has a good PvE KD, regardless of how many raids they've completed and died in.

      • I love pve for the mmorpg feeling. I prefer pve over pvp because of the many years of FPS games experience I already know how to be good at pvp. Use your environment as your advantage. Know your strength. Use you abilities and grenades wisely and don't just throw them anywhere. Be agile, be quick, and aim for the head. If you're hitting white damage then you're going to die. Even if pve is repetitive, I still love it because the gear we use during the fights are of course not going to be the same as before.

      • I do agree but I wouldn't say that PvE players suck because you are insulting the general public of destiny. However the same could be said about PvP players since the most used gun type is shotguns.

      • PvP is a joke, simply look at my stats and most used gun. The Crucible boils down to sliding and shotguns. End of story.

        • As the great Peter Griffin once said, "who the hell cares". If you use the term "scrub" or claim people need to not play a game because you think they are bad, you're an elitist prick. Toxic trash like you need to be banned from online gaming for good. Why does it matter if you are "good" or "bad" at PVP in a game? Shut your trap, enjoy the game, or quit. Everyone plays for fun. Get over it.

          • If you constantly grind Destiny multiplayer, you probably suck at FPS games. The multi for Destiny at 30 FPS, small crap maps is awful. I've played COD and Battlefield for years with above average results. People don't play PVP because it sucks, not because they do.

Screw you grecko! You think just that you have an alright k/d ratio that make you a better players than everyone else. The truth is you're not!

              • Both can be challenging. Pve can get really intense solo nightfall and you'll see. Pvp as the unpredictability of human players as you well stated. I suck at pvp so my opinion doesn't matter

                • I would agree with your assessment: PvP requires more skill than PvE. I would also agree that PvE is repetitive; particularly Destiny's PvE. I am a below average PvP player but without PvP, I would no longer be playing Destiny. For a solo player, PvP is perfect: - always different - matchmaking - goal oriented, you can actually establish a numerical goal and practice strategies to achieve that goal I have not done the Crota Raid yet because I have been unsuccessfully getting on a RAID team. I am sure it is great and looking forward to accomplishing this objective. What I find interesting is that I want to do the RAID in order to see if those weapons give me an edge or help me in PvP. PvE is why I bought Destiny, PvP is while I keeping playing Destiny. PvP gives the PvE grinding a purpose.

                  • They are both fun, I enjoy both but they are totally unrelatable. Pve is a test of memory and knowing where and when to do something. PvP is a test of reaction based skills and adapting to situations and communication. PvP is a lot harder to master hence why most people bad mouth it as it takes a lot of effort unless your a natural. I enjoy both but being good at PvP is soooo much more rewarding

PvE players are just as good as PvP players. You will never get to be a 32 without a lot of pve, and crota's end raid is the only way to get some of the best guns in the game. It may take you 2 hours to complete a raid but it will take you less than 15 minutes to complete a pvp match. Someone who only plays pvp all the time will not be good at s raid.

                    • What I believe is, if you are good at PvP then PvE should be a cakewalk for you. But there are some great PvE players that suck at PvP. I'm good at every FPS game I like to play, my overall K/D is about a 2.0 in Destiny & literally 90% of the time I have the most kills in PvE, when doing a strike or raid

                      • PvP > PvE, espscially because these casuals ruined the only way to tell if a PvE has skill or not (being able to get highest level) . You just cheese cheese cheese or buy it from the vanguard. It seems so stupid and ridiculous when a lv31+ goes into PvP with full raid gear like tf is that gonnah do for you. I actually started collection CRUCIBLE gear for PvP, where the perks are meant for that.
