So me and my group were about to do the raid but our 6th wasn't able to make it. So we took to destinylfg to find soneone. We invite this guy and the first thing he says is "so we're cheesing the bridge and crota right?". My buddy says "no you (bundle of sticks)" and we kick him. Went on to clear the raid legit in less than an hour.
Seriously cheesing the bosses is so lame and boring. The raid isn't even fun when you cheese the fights. Isnt that the reason we play the game? To have fun? The raid isn't even hard in the first place. Why do you bundles of sticks want to cheese everything?
Edit: just to clarify for the people saying he was just asking, the dude was insistent on cheesing.

Ironically he probably found another group and did it 3 times in the same time in took you to do it once
-
Well some of us don't do it for fun, we do it for the loot. What's kept me playing so long is the grind... Not just the sheer "Fun". If I had everything I wanted I would play so much less
-
Are you retarded, don't act so noble because you did the "moral" thing. As if it exist. When there is more ways to accomplish a goal, I'd rather run than walk.

4 RepliesThe reason why cheesing appeals to a greater part of the player base is because many people, like myself, play with randoms every week. We lack the schedule, clan, or friends that we can rely upon and feel comfortable with go ensure easy and reliable clears week after week. The best example of this shortfall is the timing on crota. On a regular raid group, you know when to send the sword bearer up to get the maximum amount of swings. With randoms, we need to learn that sweet spot every week. Every... week... that's why cheesing appeals to people, we'd rather not spend 5 hours on a boss that could take only 8 minutes utilizing and exploit.

Edited by Trav: 12/26/2014 2:41:07 PMHonestly, Ive cleared the raid around 12 times now and Ive done it both ways, mostly legit... but Im only going to side with the cheese because 1. It will most definitely be patched in the near future, so take advantage 2. It is most certantly quicker for the more average (not the best player in the world) player who just wants to get it done and move on, when I cheesed it, took about 20 min for the entire raid Thats just my opinion. Edit: If your that guy who looks up my account to see how many times I've completed it, I have multiple accounts... Nice try though.

Cool story bro
-
Good for you, do you want a cookie?
-
Ban this guy from the forums and destiny... No one cares about your stupid "I kicked a guy" story. Two thumbs down.

3 RepliesI've been using the Black Boot Hammer of Doom a lot lately. Just because this game is overloaded with prepubescent dipshits and the children of paint huffers, doesn't mean that my Fireteam has to be.
-
Seems to me like you just used this as an opportunity to show everyone how above average you are. Great, you didn't cheese, now what, do you want a cookie? Sorry to burst your bubble pal, but you aren't the first to beat Crota's End legit.

Edited by legi0n47x: 12/26/2014 2:16:51 PMAnd I'm sure that because of your E-nobility that RNGesus blessed your whole team with only the best drops. I think it's cool to do the raid legit and have done so as well. But with how ridiculous the RNG is I don't blame anyone for cheesing. Sure some people have all the luck, but some don't have any (raises hand). So Chees can be appealing. It's not about not wanting to be legit. It's about not wasting my time on getting nothing but a new loading screen.
-
Cool man I agree and agree
-
How about leaving him a choice next time and show him how it's done the legit way? Last time we had a hard time getting the timing for Crota right and some guys wanted to cheese him. Instead we said, we've done this multiple times and will also succeed this time.
-
6 RepliesWhat do you want... A medal? You are really cool mate, wish I was as cool as you. I bet you only have internet friends cos the rest of the world thinks you're a -blam!-!
-
4 RepliesYou really thought this was worth the time and effort to post? You truly are a pathetic piece if trash.
-
I took 3 noobs who've never done Crotas end, and 2 who have cheesed the raid, all the way to Crota yesterday, we couldn't do it, then they wanted to cheese, so I left
-
3 RepliesSo he didn't even say he wanted to cheese, just asked if you were going to. And your response was to use a hateful, sexual epithet and then boot him. "Hey random, thanks for asking a question! Can't imagine why some people complain about the social aspect on this game..." Cool story bro. Way to be a dick.

4 RepliesNext thing you know you'll be kicking someone out of a party because they want extra cheese on their pizza. This is a sad day for cheese lovers... p.s. I'm talking about a pizza party lol
-
Love me some cheese! Much more fun that doing it legit... All that stolen raid armor... Good memories.
-
The raid is hardly fun anyways. The game stopped being unique by the 4th mission
-
You know what will be great, when Bungie fixes the exploits before opening the hard mode and all the cheeses won't be able to complete it just like Atheon. Then they ll be crying for a Crota nerf.
-
2 RepliesAre you on ps4? Because if so let me raid with you all lol... I hate when people cheese or kick if you want to raid legitimately.
-
1 ReplyI got you some cheese for Christmas
-
1 ReplyLol "bundles of sticks"? Can you be any gayer?
-
I cheese when I'm doing the raid on my 31 with one other person in my fireteam who is level 27 because I am trying to get him the rewards Monday night before the reset!
-
Well, I would agree, point of the game is to have fun. The only fallacy to your logic is, you assume your definition of "fun" is the only definition and applies to everybody. Perhaps some find it challenging to discover and expose poor game design by uncovering and exploiting cheese opportunities
