actually no there is no point to using the spear for PvP as, like you said, damage doesn't matter in it. The only thing that sets it apart from others like Ice Breaker is its high impact. But its fire rate is so slow its not worth using at all in PvP where follow-up shots are key if you dont land the head shot, and any sniper used will one shot with a head shot. And I even point out, and you can compare them side by side, Silimars Wrath is the better of any Galahad or Atheons because of its stability perks. What makes weapons like that with high fire rate so bad is the constant fighting you have to have with its drift and rise. But with Silimars it is so easily controllable that it beats out even hand cannons which dont land their head shots (save a super lucky Hawkmoon 2 shot or The Last Word) The best argument I can give is my past games. Seriously, look at my last 10 games in the crucible. They all were Silimars Wrath as the primary. I not only won almost every game, but even had 10-14 k\d a couple games. I think even one game I only was downed once. And it wasnt from any fusion rifle or shotgun, it was Silimars with a few Praedyths Revenge headshots on sub par enemy snipers. (they seem most terrible on Exodus Blue. go figure.) Before that I was doing the average 1.5 to 2.0 k\d. I would never use this weapon on anything PvE as Fatebringer or Vex Mytho still just dominate DPS for story/raids. But PvP I'm finding it very hard to use something else. Nothing has rewarded a steady hand as this weapon has.
