so i go to bios and click "ez overclocker", a feature built into ROG mobos. it says it can do 12%( 4.0->4.08 ghz[4790k : "( ]) now windows won't start. it forced me to refresh from a disk to boot and it deleted errything! on an SSD, this is terrible(good for reads, bad for writes)
why can they have smart OS design? the ROG branded intel CPU-Z version doesn't automatically overclock , it only lets you choose very limited presets for things.
what's the best way to overclock in bios and not have windows go nuts?
