It used to be that I could go through the hardest Daily Heroic mission for ascendent materials when I wanted to, when the highest was Level 28. It seems with the release of The Dark Below that Daily Heroic is raised to Level 30 for the hardest difficulty, for TWO ASCENDENT MATERIALS. Considering the fact that Public Events don't guarantee such materials for gold it was the only way to know you'd get ascendent materials for upgrades, and now it seems almost impossible for a Solo-Player like myself since I'm Level 28.
The reason I play solo is because the few close friends I have that play Destiny have not gotten on in weeks, and most of them only have Sunday available to play together. I got through the normal Story by myself through all 3 characters, so I know they can be soloed even in higher difficulties. If you're saying I need to put out an "LFG: Daily Heroic" post on the #recruitment forums, all I'm going to get in no uncertain terms is a bunch of posts telling me to go f*ck myself or "Git Gud Nub!"
I understand that you don't want people to solo your major content, you wanted things done in groups. I certainly don't have the skill to solo a Nightfall, I've never even had a group to play through a single one! Hell, I've only been able to get through the Vault of Glass a few times just with random groups, never with a team of my own!
I've done countless Tiger Strike Playlists for ALL THREE characters to earn all the armor and for my main all those Vanguard weapons, so I can say if you wanted the game played a certain way I'm pretty sure I've gone ahead and done it. I've never been through Nightfall and not even the Weekly Strike either, I've had to make due with Public Events and Tiger Strike Playlists for my gear.
What I'm getting at is, why are you increasing difficulty for things such as the Daily Heroic when they could be managed by Solo-Players like myself before? I get that the level cap has been increased, and maybe there are plenty of people who can get groups put together easily, but I know I'm not one of those people who have friends just waiting to get on Destiny. Are you trying to say that either there are lots of people who use groups on Daily Heroic missions, or are you telling me that even THAT wasn't meant to be beaten solo?

8 RepliesBecause it isn't designed to be a solo game.....

1 ReplyBecause bungie is afraid to boldly go where no other guardian has gone before....raid matchmaking, the final frontier.

I solo almost everything and have no trouble...it also is good to have friends that play to

Make it POSSIBLE to solo everything, difficult but possible, and give better rewards for doing so. You solo a raid, you deserve a fantastic reward.

I think they will add matching for everything soon.

I think that the solution to fix this problems, is this: matchmaking for daily, weekly and nightfall. For use the matchmaking of the daily, needs to be at least lv 24. To use the matchmaking of the weekly, at least lv 28. And to use the matchmaking of the nightfall, at least lv 31. I understand that the raid can't have matchmaking. But made other end game equipment set for the solo players. Lv 32 armor that can be obtained solo, but harder than do the raid with other people, and costs more time. And the perks are worst than the raid gear, but haves 36 light.

2 RepliesThey're increasing the difficulty by 2 levels because they increased the level cap by 2 levels, it makes sense, otherwise you'd have people running through them at a much higher level with no difficulty. It's easy to buy gear from the vendors to get you to 31, so go do it and then a level 30 daily or strike won't that bad for you.

2 RepliesThey want multi player so more kids but the fame. If a high schooler gets the game and tries to solo play and he can't access certain content and he can't level up fast enough.....then he will convince a few friends and tell them they gotta get it. So Bungie's theory is that whatever kid buys the game will eventually turn into a multiple purchase, they are quadroopling they're profits this way and why they gave raked in over $700,000,000 in 3 months

I agree and I think with the next dlc the hardest difficulty will be 32 or 33 I hate what they are doing
