So, what's the best sniper in Borderlands 2?
I'm not looking for stats, or for a long list of things to go through. Just give me the best sniper rifle's name. I'm looking for something to strive for, ya know?

It's got a female A.I. or something planted in it so whenever you hit something, she'll likely whimper. If you need to reload, she'll say "Oh great, now your wasting ammo!" Or something else. If you kill something she'll likely say "They had a family." I don't know if it's funny or annoying but I love collecting her tears!

Love the game but haven't played in forever but I remember a torgue sniper called the Cobra was a beast

It really depends on what kind of Sniper Rifle you want. If your looking for Snipers that do elemental damage, Maliwan Snipers are really good. If Maliwan's aren't what your looking for, then I'd suggest Jacobs Sniper Rifles. Hyperion Snipers are pretty good as well. Stay away from Vladof and Dahl Snipers. Just one small piece of advice. A Sniper Rifle's name doesn't mean much if you can't do serious damage to an opponent. Stats are very important in addition to the parts on the rifle. Different barrels do different amounts of damage. If you want a Sniper that does a good amount of damage, go with Snipers that have a Jacobs barrel on them.

Depends on character/build. Lyuda has the best DPS, but a Vladof sniper is pretty pointless seeing as snipers aren't supposed to be used as SMG's. I usually use the Pitchfork as it works very well with the bee shield, but my vote for the best sniper will go to the Pimpernel though. Brilliant gun for zer0 and completely destroys b0reable enemies.

Just be on the look out for snipers with the "tum tum" prefix, they give major bonuses to critical hit damage. As for legendary ones, the Volcano was always one of my favorites. It doesn't have extremely high damage, but it does tons of fire damage over time

My advice is you need to get the best sniper of each different type that you find, as each damages specific enemies more like fire damages bandits more and corrosive damages Hyperion enemies more. Iridium weapons if you fire these first and switch to another weapon you will cause a ton of damage. Make sure you read the small print though, it can make all the difference.

Thunderstorm,think it was called that. When you shot,wherever the bullet hits it would create 6 little orbs that shot lightning,they got some bad ass weapons in that game
