So, Gjallarhorn...... Is It Broken?
Specifically Wolf Pack Rounds in PvE content.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not asking for a nerf or anything.... I'm just wondering what the communities' opinions on this are.... We've all seen Atheon being killed in 18 seconds right?
Is it right that one Rocket Launcher outclasses and out DPs's every other gun?
With Gjalla, the endgame raiding content in Destiny is pretty laughable.
I run raids with a group that has 4 Gjallarhorn, and the bosses just get instantly blown away.... Same with the trash mobs. If everyone were to switch to say Truth, this just wouldn't happen. If you're looking for a raid group on LFG for Crota, half the groups are putting Gjalla as a requirement.
So, what do you think?
Personally, I'm desperate for Gjalla, just so I can solo 99% of the Destiny ;)

The point of earning exotic weapons is so things become easier. What would be the point of them I'd they all did the same damn thinh.

14 RepliesThey don't need to nerf Gjallarhorn, they need to buff Truth, so that BOTH of these EXOTIC rocket launchers do well. I'd rather have Admonisher III than Truth. This way, Gjallarhorn is not a go-to weapon as much, and Truth then becomes useful.

You see everyone using Gjallarhorn because they dont have to get a precision hit and can avoid his shots while shooting. Outside Atheon and nightfalls/weekly with solar burn Gjallarhorn is just another rocket launcher. Also Truth is the PVP equivalent of the Gjallarhorn.

The average IQ is laughable. The Gally is powerful but there are other launchers that do similar levels of damage. A maxed Hezen's on a big stationary target (where the wolf pack isn't a factor) does slightly less damage but a team of 4 people with them against the Templar for example will do a similar job. In truth there needs to be more weapons like the gally. Any rocket launcher in pvp is an instakill and rightly so, so the gally is no better than any other. This means that Bungie have complete freedom in PvE to come up with some awesome weapons. Unfortunately all they've got at the moment from the DLC is worse than the Gjally. Basically I think the more beast mode rocket launchers the better. There will always be a best, but it would be great if there were 3 or 4 contenders for that spot, and it was down to preference rather than one being balls out more powerful. So Bungie need to either invent something new or buff some of the others.

1 ReplyI honestly think that Gjallarhorn is what all exotics should be... if they were all this powerful and had an extremely low chance of dropping, then exotics would truly be exotic and there would be very little of them in the game. But everyone has an opinion... that's just mine.

1 ReplyIt took me 3 months to get my gjallarhorn and I got it in a way I couldn't believe, the first chest in Crota's end raid, it's totally changed my level of excitement to play this game, I solo'd the omniful nightfall and finished her with 7 rockets, mine is maxed out at 331, absolutely love this thing

3 RepliesIf anything other exotics need pve buffs. Theres no reason for me to use an exotic aside from my vex (for fusion bounties) ice breaker, and gjallarhorn. Those are the only 3 worth the spot and truly feel exotic. Others can be easily replaced with legendaries.
