What if raids were longer?
What if the raids in Destiny were not simple, get the mechanics down and can do in 30 minutes type raids. Instead be 2-3 hour long raids that even if you were high level would still challenge you to the max.
Of course would also mean that the completion of such raid would guarantee exotics and high tier materials. Too bad there is no variation to the armor one can wear if you want to be max level. Kinda sad if they invested more time in creating am immersive storyline, great lore, and characters you actually gave a crap about, this game would have blown every other game out of the water. So much lost potential, pretty sad to be honest.

If they took 1 year to make a dlc for 2015 and it had a really long raid, idd play it 100% no matter what games have come out

I wish they were a little more open. Like, sandbox style. I just wish I could explore every nook and cranny of the VoG without being blown to bits or pressured by my teammates.

The kids wouldn't be able to do it. They can barely do it now. This game caters to that market, cause it's a great cash cow.

I think raid should have at least 3 boss fights

Also, "getting the mechanics down" varies from person to person, not everyone can do VoG HM in 30 minutes, still, to this day. Be very appreciative if you are constantly part of teams that can. CE final encounter is a point of droppers more often than not. Finally, for as simple as our raids are, we only have two, and both are full of glitches/bugs still...I'm not sure bungie can handle releasing more complex content right now, as it won't be complex but rather nerve inducing and broken. It is something for the future, for sure. Maybe for Destiny 3. @anyone saying people would cheese: irrelevant, some people will always cheese and it is up to bungie to patch the cheese.

5 Repliesyou know i remember when i first did VOG and it took is 3 - 4 hours.. we loved it cause it look so long and we have a laught... Crota in an hour and all the other raids in an hour is not long enough..

1 ReplySo you're saying you don't feel this dlc is worth $20 cause some guy can sooo the raid in about 40min? I agree lol but the problem is as of now it still takes people a couple hours to complete due to simple mess ups. There is still a massive amount of players that haven't completed VOG yet.

That would be sick. Let's say the first phase of the raid for Crota is; Crota trying to summon his sword and summing all the pieces slowly and at that time everyone has to hit the sword with their heavies to prolong him from doing so. Phase 2: Crota says -blam!- you and summons the sword anyway, but he keeps the damage you did to him while you were stopping him from conjuring the sword. Than we go back to making him kneel and being a -blam!-ing fgt and shooting Majic. Phases are fun.

1 ReplyI love this idea, I would like a raid to be so long that you'd have to split it into days. Cause you'd take a couple hours per part. But also make it that you get all the guaranteed stuff. And a but load of materials and xp. I hate how the raids are now. They just throw enemies at you and that's it. I'd like for more puzzles and more crazy boss fights and weird time and space raptures. And most of all I'd like there to be multiple ways to complete a part. The most fun I've had in a raid is the part where we kill Crota because so much teamwork is needed it actually feels like we are one working in sync. Also make areas in the raid where we might need to use sparrows.

3 RepliesBefore destiny was released bungie said the raid saves your progress giving you a week to complete it I remember thinking how awesome it will be something that takes time and effort to complete not just another campaign mission you can run through in seconds but being 30 minutes to an hour to complete the entire raid is ridiculous we need a challenge something we try every week and it's always different I know the raid has to be easy so everyone can complete it or bungie wouldnt sell so many games cause players would be saying how hard the game is and younger players wouldn't buy it
