How did Crota return? Please answer if you know!
If we stopped Omnigul from ushering in Crotas return and destroyed his soul, how is he alive in the raid? I feel like there is a key story mission I'm missing here.
If you know why or how he came back please respond. Until then I'll just assume that the six of us in the raid resurrected him just to prove we can kill him even if his punk self WAS resurrected and Eris and her sqaud are a bunch of losers. LOL

Think Harry potter. Voldemort divided his soul into seven horcruxes in the event his body was destroyed, he could still live. He couldn't be killed until all seven were destroyed. Same with crota. Except he has one...... thankfully

We stopped his summoning. In the raid we go into his god realm or "neitherworld" and kill Crota fully. 1 down, 5 to go. (Who may just happen to all be more powerful, and one (the most powerful) of them might now be seriously ticked off that we killed his son.)

Eris said they couldn't stop the hive from taking Crota's soul, but isn't her team dead? And she said that their team died in the hellmouth, but in the mission she says they died in the temple. Whatever.

It all depends on where Crotas end takes place. Sure doesn't look like the moon and Crota was all bones and stuff. I bets it's like a Sauron deal where he can't fully manifest without all of his favorite things, like his soul and that sword we destroy every couple days

Do we really care? DLC directions: keep shooting hive until House of Wolves. House of Wolves directions: Keep shooting fallen until sequel.

In The Wakening mission I don't think we killed his soul. I think we released it, freeing it to return to its body. This might be why we see his soul before we see his body when the horns are forming etc.. I think The Wakening mission is as far as Eris and her team got. Killing Omnigul was just stopping the Hive advancement on Earth IMO. Speculation. Theory. $.02

Within "The Wakening" we are simply preventing the hive from summoning Crota to Earth, but he still exists as a transdementional being of sorts. So, we must go to an area where he is concentrated at ( the Pit ) and kill him while he is in a weakened state.

It's because you go into a alternative world where Crota still lives but parts of him are missing

Pretty sure that we stopped him coming to earth, what we killed was his embodyment.

2 RepliesIm not really sure but I believe when we kill his wakers and that crystal that held his soul we banished his soul to a different dimension mybe. Because I believe were we are fighting him is like the hive underworld or something.
