Why radiance is not that good anymore
PvE
Radiance has been dumbed down to be used for fire born which is used as a crutch for people who cannot be useful. The nova bomb is much more effective if you are good. Massive amounts of damage in a short time. Let the discussion rage on with opinions and reasoning!
Radiance with radiant skin:
I've been seeing a lot of comments on why this combination is supposedly good. The justification is that it's good for crowd control and spawns a lot of orbs. In my opinion (remember it's just an opinion) I'd rather spawn orbs in a faster amount of time so I can continue to shoot at adds or inflict DPS on Crota.

1 Replyhow to use radiance: Go hyper aggressive, expose yourself, tank the aggro for your team, plan on dying. Then revive, get invincible with flame shield, spam grenade of choice and spawn a shit tonne of orbs. This is how to use it, not a crutch, but a firestorm.

1 ReplyI run it in first part of new raid just incase unless others do. But usually I play my warlock when someone actually good with Titan like me. Then I pick between the other two.

2 RepliesNot everyone who runs sunsinger uses fireborn. In fact I think fireborn causes people to use their super less often for that "just in case" moment. Its definitely good in a pinch, but I like to cause havoc. This is what I usually run with for strikes and burn the hell out of everything: Heart of Praxic Fire (oh yeah!) Firebolt Grenade --> (Fusion when I get to the boss) Radiant Skin Flameshield Viking Funeral Touch of Flame

Radiance + Vex = Orb City in any PvE situation.

The only time radiance is less useful now is Crota. Apart from that it's still the best for hard mode raids and nightfalls.

4 RepliesI say this as an opinion also, but i feel an opinion everyone should shed an eye on. I only say this because i am the rank #1 raider in the game as you can see through any of the multiple destiny tracking websites. Radiant skin is the most useful of all supers i feel. This depends on your role of course though. I myself right now like to kill the swordbearer in crotas end with 3 sticky grenades. Using radiant skin allows me to do this with an extra 5 grenades to go, and reduced dmg that allows me to not even have to try to avoid the sword bearer. (he takes 6 swings to kill me while i have it on)

Radiance is necessary but boring. Nova bomb is Hella fun but can be replaced by other classes and there supers. If you ask me I say void walker coz I want to enjoy the game

Radiance is one of the best supers when used with fusion grenades. If you're saving it for when you die you're an idiot. Throw all the grenades and create all the orbs, teammates gets supers and make orbs for you. Pick them up and throw all the grenades again. It's the circle of super. I remember the legions of the templar phases. We created oceans of orbs which we couldn't even pick up with our continuous supers. In the new raid the fusion grenade radiance will kill a swordbearer easily. And I haven't even gotten the heart of praxic Fire yet.

My HoPF makes radiance an absolute beast. Except hard raid I activate whenever its appropriate. I love spam throwing grenades.

I used to be all about the sunsinger. but in the new raid, with the oversoul, I figured that i shouldnt need to use that super since i cant die at all. so I started using voidwalker a lot. And damn, bloom with those axion bolts, its amazing

I actually think void walker is horrible, I hate it even in pvp. I don't need those gimp ass kills I'll take the skilled way and have aim with my grenades.

1 ReplyI love it when my friend pops radiance without fire born and we both go to town with grenades. You can actually watch the bosses health drop when a warlock starts tossing those Fusion Grenades with Praxic Fire.

9 RepliesOk so your in a nightfall at the end boss is almost dead but o no!! Everyone went down sure wish someone could self resurrect and get us up and save the mission but oops I ran void walker I guess I'll nova bomb myself back to life! But wait I can't do that!! Back to orbit we go!! Had that person been a sunsinger he could have got up got everyone else up and finished there nightfall!!!

it's really good for soloing eliminate the target public events. Heart Of Praxic Fire + fusions grenades = don't have to fire a shot.

3 RepliesHow the -blam!- is Nova Bomb going to help you kill Crota faster than if someone had Radiance? Only a Relic Sword can kill Crota, Not Nova Bomb. Need Orbs for the Relic Holder? Radiance can do the same thing, in fact its probably more effective than Nova.
