In the month that the MCC has been out they have done 10x the amount of updates bungie has and are now giving away free stuff. GF bungie.

Their game was broken on release...
-
Lol. That game was so wrecked when it shipped they still need more updates.

Edited by enderprime: 12/23/2014 8:44:39 PMa) mcc is only a collection of old titles b) they have to give stuff away to say sorry for breaking most of the games in such an epic fashion did you even play it? if you did you would know how ridiculous your post is
-
Does 343 support raid matchmaking?
-
I think something that is VERY often forgotten, is that a significant portion of Bungie staff went to 343 to keep making Halo games. A very small, core group remained as Bungie and they were recruiting. I mean, look at what happened to Marty O'Donnel. If my memory serves, after he finished (mostly, or not, dunno for sure) work on the Destiny soundtrack, he was let go. For absolutely no reason. Marty's been there FOREVER. This obviously is not the same Bungie as before. This is just a hollow shell assuming their name. And Destiny is a beautiful, shining example of that.
-
Mcc was also broken to the point of you couldnt play it. There is a huge difference. Id go as far to say that mcc was more broken than unity
-
Maybe bc Halo isn't a new game you -blam!-
-
People need to let Halo die. Or live on in memory. However you want to say it. I loved the Halo franchise but I would never want to see it being reproduced for decades. That's boring.
-
The better example is Rockstar during the issues with GTA V online. Wasn't working, so they did two important things... gave everyone $500k in game currency, and more importantly.. FIXED THE GAME. Giving me free stuff to use in a broken game is pointless. I would be happier with a fixed game, and if they want to give us something, I'd prefer the option to equip any and all exotic armour and weapons I have in any combo I see fit.
-
All 343 had to do was port already created games, they failed at it, in epic fashion. They should be sending a 59.99 rebate if you ask me.
-
It going to have 5 campaigns plus multiplayer. Thats amazing value for money!
-
Is their multiplayer even functioning? How about instead of free stuff, they release functioning content? That's cool though for you who play that, hope you enjoy
-
Because their game was that much more broken. Don't make them out to be saints. They are killing halo.
-
Um MCC didn't work, people paid $60 for a broken game, Destiny was never broken. Half the people who purchased it got their money back because the game was super broken. So only a small amount of people are getting odst for free. Everyone else will have to pay (and it probably still won't work)
-
Edited by Zauries: 12/22/2014 1:30:18 AMThat's because their game was unplayable... Destiny is perfectly playable, and it's only issues are people not enjoying the game. Devs don't give away free stuff to people who just happened not to enjoy what they made.
-
Bought MCC, haven't touched it since day one, and likely never will. The game still doesn't have all of its content live and they are offering free stuff to make up for how much they -blam!-ed up. Destiny is above and beyond that by so far. If you don't like destiny and love MCC so much, why are you on here?
-
Free stuff is awesome, but let's not act like it's something it isn't. They are giving ODST away not as a thank you for buying the game, but as an apology for the game having issues.
-
MCC with the exception of campaign, which was reskinning. Was a cluster -blam!- and mostly unplayable by a large portion of the community. That still doesn't excuse bungie for the colossal -blam!- ups. However, bad comparison.
-
Bungie should be taking notes here. https://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/community/blog-posts/halo-the-master-chief-collection-thank-you That is the kind of customer service you give your players when your game doesn't meet certain standards. Hi five to 343. Destiny has had so many problems and Bungie just doesn't seem to care as much as 343. Often they push the blame onto players networks, but I have never ever had a game with this many connection problems. 343 is giving us a whole game for free (granted its just a port to x1) and Bungie is charging me $20 for 3 missions, a strike, and a raid. Most of which is regurgitated play space and the same types of enemy encounters. I like Destiny a lot, but it is by far the biggest disappointment of a game I have ever played.
-
They were apologizing to the players because Matchmaking plainly didn't work for MCC. Bungie SHOULD do the same with Destiny.
-
Master cheif collection is also still broken matchmaking
-
A Halo 3 ODST port to Halo: MCC and a month of free xbox live. Bungie doesn't address their major problems like TDB reviews, game-breaking raid glitches, and a broken loot system.
-
That's because Halo MCC is 10x the -blam!- up as Destiny ever was. Say what you want about Destiny but the game runs well. It doesn't dip to 5 frames per second like Halo MCC. It doesn't crash at an average of once every three hours. It has never corrupted your save file. It doesn't take up to two hours to put you in a Crucible match. You can bash Destiny's content all you want but at least you can play it. What good is having four games and 100 multiplayer maps on one disc if you can't play them? Lots of ppl agree that Halo MCC was still in it's Alpha stage when it was released.
-
Its a Microsoft game. They can get updates out quicker. Destiny being an online game can do the same though.
-
True, but Ive seen so many complaints against bungie for their updates. But yeah free stuff is nice. bump.
