The struggle is real.
Here's the stats for the match http://www.bungie.net/en/Legend/PGCR/1/4611686018437306525/2305843009225286179/1141935353?_

The whole crucible score system works like this: it adds up your teammates individual scores and the team with the higher score wins
OP got 10k points. That is half the amount of points required to win from one player out of six
Flags are a point multiplier. At the end of the game the team with the most captures/time spent holding the flags can still easily lose if they didnt get many kills
Anyway 50 kills is almost enough to kill every single player on the enemy team 10 times each you cant tell me that didnt help their team hold the flags they did have(captures mean nothing if you dont hold it)
Shoutout to EggoWaflele for typing out this explanation for me.. Nice guy.
Thanks for the positivity, the few who provided it.

First off, Get a hobby. and secondly, I pity you people the most those you are owning it up in the crucible and you get bogged down by level 3s just wanting to see what it is like.
-
51... That's it? You rack disciprine. Next time do 61
-
People are stupid if they think capping makes a difference if you go super negative in kd. Capping is important if you can maintain positive kd.
i understand negative kd is a misnomer
-
Git rekt scrub
-
Lol never hit 10k but I've had similar games.

-

Yeah i like the control system. It rewards killing more than capturing.
-
I feel bad for u. But I'm sure Espically in IB U have been on the opposite side and didn't really do anything special to help your team and still destroyed the opposition. It's just like anything else. The negative ones r what stand out to us. Keep it up tho u r awesome at curt bike to b able to get that high of a score. Atleast h content u know u did everything u could.

Good run. Beats my best by a couple grand. Went 42 and 10 on Twilight Gap. Good times. Good hunting, guardian.
-
Normally I'd say play the objective. In your case though... murder the objective.

Edited by Dididak: 12/20/2014 11:48:19 PMHad an iron banner match of around 8500 points, 44 kills, and we lost. Sometimes you just get stuck with the worst people. Edit: looking at the other comments, people are saying "play the objective", well to those people, learn math. He got 51 kills, if you have 1 or less capture points, you only get 100 points. If he didn't play the objective, and his team didn't either, he would of had 5100 points (not including assists, headshots, and other bonuses). He probably had 2 zones capped for around 40 of his kills. Why didn't he win? His team probably didn't get any kills, and died a shit-ton. Control is a 6v6 game-mode, there's supposed to be contribution from everyone.

Edited by Boemkamer: 12/20/2014 11:51:31 PMHaha, damn that sucks. I've been there too, almost every game I get the 'On the Bright Side' medal. Never got 10k points though, that is insane! If you're on PS4, add me if you want to play Crucible. We don't even have to speak or anything. It would be nice to have a teammate who I can rely on. We'll win some games!
-
I see your problem... One of your teammates was lagging out.
-
Nice one man, I have not broken 50 in IB yet. I just scratched the surface in clash though. Maybe next time IB rolls around I can join the club.
-
It looks like a lot of people STILL don't know how Control works. My condolences to the OP

I understand this is Iron Banner but I love Rumble for this very reason.
-
Amounts a lot like what happens in titanfall. You play attrition and get 150+ points... Yet your team still manages to lose. I just don't understand...
-
Hey your on the 50 kills club, if you got ps4 add me .. Chroniic-_-king <~56 kills
-
Y'know the control-point bonus only goes to the team and isn't included in your score, right? Easy way to confirm: play control match, add up scores, notice that winning team has less than 20,000 total score.
-
Nice job, man. I see a lot of idiots commenting that you didn't play the objective, but that just shows they know nothing about Control. Two, count 'em TWO, points are all that's needed to win. Getting the third messes up the enemy spawns.
