The struggle is real.
Here's the stats for the match http://www.bungie.net/en/Legend/PGCR/1/4611686018437306525/2305843009225286179/1141935353?_
All these people saying "you didnt play the objective" must think control is domination
The whole crucible score system works like this: it adds up your teammates individual scores and the team with the higher score wins
OP got 10k points. That is half the amount of points required to win from one player out of six
Flags are a point multiplier. At the end of the game the team with the most captures/time spent holding the flags can still easily lose if they didnt get many kills
Anyway 50 kills is almost enough to kill every single player on the enemy team 10 times each you cant tell me that didnt help their team hold the flags they did have(captures mean nothing if you dont hold it)
Shoutout to EggoWaflele for typing out this explanation for me.. Nice guy.
Thanks for the positivity, the few who provided it.

HOW DO YOU EVEN DO THIS
-
OH MY GAWD WTF
-
Yeah points don't really make too much of difference in my opinion. But if your lone wolfing and flanking without your team the spawns will flip which can really screw the rest of your team over if the have to fight on two fronts.
-
To anyone still not understanding control: You get 25 points for neutralizing a zone. 75 for securing it. 50 points per kill. An extra 50 points for each zone you control when you get that kill. The normal point modifiers like headshot, heavy ammo, etc. All those points are added up every 10s or so and it says that score in the corner. Once a team hits 20k total points from that listed above or timer ends, game is over.

Edited by BlueEmperor55700: 12/21/2014 3:46:46 PMSimilar thing happened to me. 43 Kills, 3.75 KD, 8000+ points. We lost but I was more excited with the fact that I broke my previous record of 35 kills.
-
Why do you think i dont play control anymore? I just stick to rumble
-
Told ya.

I think destiny PvP can benefit from another of things 1) incentivise good play. This means give better and increase likelihood of valuable rewards to those who contribute the most to the teams score. Maybe a glimmer reward of 5000 for finishing top of a lobby, or a guaranteed legendary engram. As long as performance is rewarded better than bad performance in one way or another. 2) what about matching people in lobby's by their score per game, or better, score per minute. You only get put into lobby's where people's score per game was similar to your own. Sure a small minority of skill players will deliberately lower their score per game to get less skilled lobby's where they can stomp like hell, but it's worth a fairer matchmaking system. 3) this would be my ideal addition from Bungie - a ranked playlist. The game mode would be control. There is a 4v4 match making system and there around 5 tiers of performance. Tier 5 is the lowest, lesser skilled players and tier 1 is the most skilled. Everybody starts t5 and by winning games consistently you get placed into higher tiers. The higher tier you are in, the harder games will be and the better rewards you should receive at the end of the game. Going up a tier can be on a point based system, let's say it's around 2000-3000 points to go up and for a win you get 150, for a loss you get -100 (these numbers can change to whatever). The objective here is beating the other team, and for all those players that do not care about the win but for the fun they get from PvP they can play regular crucible, whilst the competitive hungry performance player can play a ranked playlist. Simply mixing the two, like it is now, leads to guys like OP genuinely frustrated. With a ranked system, t1 and t2 players can fight one another in intensely competitively games, as opposed to the current pub stomping we see most of the time. These are just some ideas I think may make crucible better, reply with some suggestions and criticisms so maybe one day we can make a formal request to bungie.

And your flag capture was 0? Play the game and stop camping for kills. If you want just kills play clash.
-
the crazy thing is that the other team didn't even really do all that well aside from their top guy the rest of the team did ok. the killer for our op here is that the rest of his team just sucked a fat one, the other strange thing is that his team 29,29,30,31,31,31 and the other team was 27,29,29,29,31,31. it's just bizarre how his team could be so outperformed (assuming this is iron banner).
-
I had an Iron Banner match a while back where I went 30/1, and another players had nearly 30 kills as well. Still lost.
-
Well done, Sir! I hope to never find myself on the business end of your boom stick.
-
Know how you feel me and my friend both had around 7000 points each but the person in third had 700 which led to us losing

Edited by Tesshu_Yamaoka: 12/21/2014 1:02:18 PMFeel your pain. IB is nice, but when placed in Team Retard it is an excruciating experience.. Nice performance! Best I got was 6.36 K/D, but only with 22 kills.
-
Had a similar game, I was 4.4 the closest on my team was .6
-
Those situations are always made worse when at the end, as a final kick when you're down. The bottom players get all the rewards.
-
Lol. That seriously blows.
-
-
nice work bro. Impressive stats.

Edited by swirve: 12/21/2014 12:35:05 PMWas this in IB...I've heard from others that the players are the worst in IB this time round....far worse than the crucible generally... I could not be bothered with the whole IB grind this time....

Easy way to get 25k Glimmer. I show you. http://youtu.be/ZhQViw5e9qw

Welcome to control dude.. I've had a number of games similar to that. Can't complain though, it's what happens when you solo search. It is very surprising though at the end of the game and you just that "wtf, how bad was my team". And i can't stand all these kids that try and argue, saying you don't play objective, just killong wont make you win.. total bullshit! If you get 10k points just from kills that's half your teams point! It amazes me that so many people don't know how control works.
-
Yeh, this was the case pretty much all last night with me. The annoying thing is that when I do good, I get crap loot, and when I occasionally find myself on the bottom half of the scoreboard... you guessed it, Exotic drop. Yeah, that's how I got my first exotic.
-
This happens to me all the time. But this is an extreme case! I would be upset if I made half the points needed for victory but the other 5 couldn't come up with the other half. You can only carry so much weight.

Edited by METALmurderer: 12/21/2014 10:57:43 AMOuch, that's painful. You did kick ass though. And in the one guy's defense, he was lagging out xD Edit: see a chiropractor, you may have hurt your back trying to carry that team of yours
