Husk of the Pit drop a scam?
Alright, So I kid you not when I say I have spent all day (7 hours) farming for the Husk of the Pit in both 'Fist of Crota' and patrols. I have literally been killing nothing but Blades, so much in fact that I have fully upgraded two Raid Gear items and my Hard Light. I'm seriously stressed out about this. All my friends seem to just jump into a random match and get it their first try. Is it possible that I'm seriously just extremely unlucky, or is Destiny screwing with me?

Im upgrading my legendary version right now but ive done it rediculous amounts of times and finally got it last night from fist of crota mission (which i find to be good spot for that when it comes to time consumption and amounts of times u see blades of crota). like some comments said before try killing all of his worshipers first and then kill him really quick. Hope it works good luck.

Took me several hours the first day to get mine, then the next day my FIRST knight kill got me a second one. You are just terribly unlucky.

Husk of the pit is Destiny in a nutshell. You grind for a weapon to grind for an rep to grind for a upgrade to grind for another upgrade for a drop that is cut content because the DLC sucks.

Just bad luck. I spent around four hours straight of the fist of crota before I got it. I took forever but finally managed to pull it.

-blam!- yess, had about 50-70 attempt mostly on fist of crota and when I came from work just a few minutes ago I got it on my second try on the moon

Make sure you kill all the ads around the blade before you kill him, rushing to kill him first may mess up your drop rate and i noticed this after about 30 minutes of farming

I kill loads of those knights, but haven't had one drop anything but black wax idols. I haven't been farming for it, just killing crotas minions when they run loose all across the battlefield

I lost count of how many Sword Bearer's I killed since the DLC drop. I know for a fact I killed 20 today, on the dot. Still no weapon drop. I was in a party with my buddy and he killed roughly 8-10 - he got the Husk of the Pit to drop twice today alone. Anger - so much of it.

It's called RNG, i got three in less than 30 minutes, the guy with me didn't get one. You have to get lucky, that's it.

It is in fact a scam! Did you give your money to the African prince yet? After you do, he will send you the secret location of <insert object of hoarder love> and you can just loot it. That is how I got it

I got it twice in about 4 hours of farming, so you're extremely unlucky I guess.
