Husk of the Pit drop a scam?
Alright, So I kid you not when I say I have spent all day (7 hours) farming for the Husk of the Pit in both 'Fist of Crota' and patrols. I have literally been killing nothing but Blades, so much in fact that I have fully upgraded two Raid Gear items and my Hard Light. I'm seriously stressed out about this. All my friends seem to just jump into a random match and get it their first try. Is it possible that I'm seriously just extremely unlucky, or is Destiny screwing with me?
Getting super freaking aggravated with this.

I thought it was BS for a long time but I have it now. Think I killed about 40 Blades.

I killed about 20 of them and gave up...went to the tower and there it was at the post master lol I wonder how many it actually took....

It will come, took me an hour and a half its like anything with the RNG i have never had an exotic drop for example and i have played plenty of nightfalls, weekly etc and seen people get stuff 😡

Most of my group has gotten it within the 3-5 hour mark. Keep grinding. It will happen.

Beyond random to get to drop. My son has tried about 50 times and nothing, I got it on my 5th try and only took about 15 minutes.

It took me somewhere between 10-20 tries

I read how long it took people to get it. I wanted one so I got a notepad and a pen. I kept tallies of how many tries it took. I got it on attempt #49, after all that I had about 30-35 Silken Codexes and Idols. So it wasn't a TOTAL waste of time. But what's funny? Next day I'm doing the Will of Crota strike and my team runs out of the Array Station after slaughtering the Fallen. I see a random Blade of Crota and think "Meh, I'll just kill him." I got a second one from him without even meaning to! XD

Took me around 50+ tries. Then the other day I got another one randomly

Edited by I-KinG_SolomoN-I: 12/21/2014 2:54:24 PMI promise you I farmed for 2 hours it never came , I said bump this went on my Titan to do some bounties and I had to run the fist of crota mission. First kill it dropped I was so happy lol. Oh and that heroic is bs I got it on lvl 24.

Don't force it. It will come. Took me 40 mins the first time now they drop all the time doing blades of Crota bounties.

I got mine after 10 hours of sword farming on my first character. 2 hours with my second character.

I stood about 10 feet outside a room where someone was fighting a Blade and it said I found another Husk. I didn't even see a drop triangle thing. So within 10 minutes, I picked up two. Point being, kill or at least be around the death of as many Blades of Crota as possible.
