MIDA Multi Tool - Worth the Exotic Slot?
Does anyone run MIDA as their primary? I'm considering building my Titan around this weapon, (boots and gloves), and I am curious if it is worth it. I've heard of people running it in the first phase of Crotas End to out run the thrall.
Is this exotic worth my slot over Ice Breaker?

[i]Gjallarhorn Thorn Suros Ice Breaker Patience and Time Vex Mythoclast [/i] This is a PvE standpoint. Couldn't care less about crucible if not for bounties

Yes, it's the best all round weapon in the game. The movement perks, field scout, and ease of aiming all go towards making it a vital weapon for PVE.

1 ReplyEdited by Dar Katan: 1/11/2015 2:49:11 PMSo many parts of the Mida Mulitool are found in the unique abilities it gives the player. - 3rd Eye - Quick Movement Speeds - +2 Agility (Makes movement even faster) - Stagger (This ability is not mentioned on the gun, but it staggers like crazy) - Clear Effective Optics - Faster firing (with hair trigger you melt enemies in both PvE and PvP) - Fast reload (no need to get gloves with scout reload) The biggest thing I found when using the Mida for a week is when I switched back to my Thorn, I was so slow! If you run an agility focused character, the Mida only adds to its effectiveness. I used to hate scout rifles. But after giving the Mida a decent chance I have found myself equipping it more often than not.

Only if you're a skilled marksman and love Scout Rifles. In the right hands the Mida is a hell of a weapon!!!

I have one, and it also has the fastest rate of fire for scout rifles, it also excels in crucible.

1 ReplyMaybe not over ice breaker unless you have a black hammer. But I'm currently using it and it's stagger effect is unreal. It just knocks enemies off their rocker and makes them your dancing servant until they perish lol.

Glad to see MIDA start getting the recognition it deserves. Bladedancer agility build with MIDA is insane. Lol.

Wouldn't it be cool if the mida could switch elements of solar, arc, and void (like the murmur)? The it would be a true multi tool

2 RepliesThe key thing about mida is it's stagger... Achron priest head bobbin for days......and most other enemies as well. So I wouldn't say it occupied my exotic slot all the time but definitely worth upgrading.

My hunter has a MIDA, and pretty much the only time I don't have it equipped is when I want to use Ice Breaker. I love scout rifles and this one is definitely my favorite.

Yesssssss. Ice breaker gets so boring. Mida is amazing. There comes a point where straight up firepower no longer makes things fun. Using what people consider to be good exotics gets really boring, and you don't always need the best. All you need is enough, and mida passes that threshold. It's good, and very fun. It may not be quite as good as others, but it's a lot of fun.

Its personal preference. If you can make work it's great, by all means try it out.
