How to Trolololol 101
3 reasons why I'm quitting Destiny
1) fake 31's
2) xur
3) Raid glitching
I've had enough. It's not fair on the players that earned their level and exotics. And the fact that the entire raid can be glitched and soloed ruins the only thing in this game that's rewarding for good honest hardcore players like myself. I'm sick of averaging a 2.11 kd in crucible and never getting rewarded for it. I do play Xbox 1 which is known for having a not so competitive scene (which makes me want to switch to ps4) but even still I think rewards should be given for the good hardcore players.
Anyway rant over. I'm going to give minecraft a shot because I heard they are adding an actual story to the game (unlike destiny)

Edit: I should probably clear things up because I'm getting a lot of hate. When I say fake 31's I'm not blaming the people who purchased the gear, I'm blaming bungie for putting it in there in the first place. There's no point for new players to even run VOG anymore.
Edit: it's actually horrible the things some of you are saying to me. I didn't mean to offend anyone and if I did I'm sorry. Some of you are obviously quite sensitive about this game. nothing wrong with that though just didn't expect it

I do agree now its completely pointless to even do the first raid anymore kinda dumb on bungies part and maybe increaseing the lvl cap none dlc id good but at the same time dlc holders should have at least 5 lvl cap over none dlc holders but oh well bungie just basically voided out the first part of Destinys story its pointless to do any if it now

On xür how is that not earning it if the person has one character I mean they got 13/17/23 strange coin to get said exotic while the people that earned it killed one enemy and got a purple that turned yellow or played crucible and got lucky the only way I can see someone earning an exotic over saving strange coin is a raid or nightfall reward

We are on a 3-4 month cycle for increasing the level cap. Without that gear people would eventually hit roadblocks of raid content. Newer players would have a hell of a time finding a VoG group, which in turn means they'd be stuck at that point until they got lucky, only to hit a crota roadblock when HoW comes out. If it was a bit slower of a cycle I could see holding off on welfare gear a month or two, but with the short schedule, it's in the games best interest to get as many people into current content as possible. So you end up with welfare gear.

I've ran the Vault 36 times and I don't see why people get upset that others can reach 31 without running it once. Vault of Glass is in no way preparing you for Crota's End?

How does your kill to death matter? There is no leader board, because of rang you'll still be rewarded. Why does it matter how others play in pve to you? It's probably a good thing your going as you sound quite irritating Have fun

2 RepliesI ran Vault of Glass several times. Once on Hard. I might do that again seeing as I'm 30 with the option of going to 31 (But don't wanna waste shards on 31 gear.) I never got anything good from the Hard raid, and I got Atheon's twice, A fugly ship, Chatterwhite and Found Verdict from Doing the normal raid some 3-4 times. It's hard finding a Raid group as a hunter in lvl 28-29 when everyone wants to cheese the bosses and therefore require WARLOCKS only. So I didn't bother that often. I find much of that to be true for CE as well. But that's fine. I don't have that much of a rush to climb the gear ladder. Now, what annoys me here is the way you coin the term "earned" as if me not putting hours upon hours into a game to gain the resources, the currency, and the EXP to lvl my gear or buy something cool from Xur. Some people, like myself, have offended RNGeezahs so much that he never drops anything good for me, no matter when or where. Strikes? Nothing, Engrams? Never anything but Blues and Ascendant energy. Cryptarch upgrade package? Two blues. This game hates me. But the fact that I cannot expect to find anything good outside of Xur's little weekend fallalala, means that I have to WORK for my stuff. Stop being an elitist, whining over how "Someone got the gear/lvl through some other means than me, which I percieve as being 'lesser' somehow! Oh, my vanity is killing me!" As for the Crucible scene, I've met great opposition with varying frequency. Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't I suppose. Sometimes I wish I had the game on PS4, and maybe I'll even buy it and a PS4 after new years. But that's just because I want bloodborne anyway, and I want the exclusive stuff in Destiny. As much as I hate the reason it's there, I want it. I know not why the Ps4 population is more competitive. Wish I could import my characters and gear though.

So your mad that people earn coins or glimmer or upgrade there vanguard or crucible rank get a commendation to get them to 31. Your mad because a vender comes once a week and sells exotics. What is your definition of earned? So you grind a bunch of strikes an exotic drops therefore you earned it. But when I beat the weekly get my coins and buy something I didn't. So by this do you hate all the people who have sheer luck and get everything the first couple of try's and not the 200th later. Just like with the vault of glass I'm sure bungie is going to patch all the glitch in and have it be played like how it was intended to be played. All your reasons for leaving as trivial and selfish. I can't get something or he can do this or it's not fair that he's that and I'm this.

Uhh, when they get continually denied to join a group due to lack of any type of raiding experience where do you think they are going to go? if they are legit 30s+ they should ATLEAST Bare Minimum have 2x KNOWN GOOD Weapons MAXED, if you see they are in progress and have buncha rares, boot em, pretty simple, not rude to cut dead weight off the group, its smart thinking for the entire group btw, glad to hear your quitting, dont need buncha little crying babies whining over how someone got to where they are at, if its in the game, how is it not legit, your stupid for not utilizing every available option in the game to better progress yourself......

Your departure from this game is such a major loss to the game and community. It's always sad to loose a wise team player like yourself who always endeavors to support the player base and offer constructive feedback and to see them rank up and enjoy their new armor. Please do come back when Xur stops selling exotics, and when it's impossible for people to level up, and when all raid glitches are fixed.

Raid glitching is bungies fault for not testing everything before they released the dlc. It sucks yes but it doesn't effect you because it's not you doing it so why worry about others? The pvp is trash I agree with that and has been shown you can do nothing in pvp and get great gear with zero kills. Why is xur an issue? He sells gear to those who are hated by RNG. I got 4 legendaries the past 2 days all turned to mats what should I do in that case just hope RNG likes me in VoG where it didn't the first time I ran it with my warlock 10 times and got zero gear. You can't get mad at players for doing what they have to because bungie is screwing us at every corner. Point the finger at the right people not the people trying to make the bungie get their act together by showing them they keep -blam!-ing up and need to improve badly.

Others choose to. Doesn't affect me in the slightest. I plan on trying to find groups for the VoG as I'm in desperate need of upgrade materials. Instead of making the VoG a requirement, why not give players more reason to do that raid? 1) scale level requirement with the new raid. 2) make raid gear buffs useful outside of the raid itself. VoG gear buff damage against Vex, Crota gear buff damage against Hive. Now it's useful for PVE in daily, weekly, nightfall, and Strikes. 3) add option to upgrade raid gear to the new, highest light level. Sonar system as Exotics. No more need for new vendor gear to fill the gap, and reward players with raid gear by accelerating the process. Seems fair to me.
