sick of seeing level 31 characters with 274 attack guns in a raid
Never thought I would say this but holy cow! It is way too easy to get into the raids now and the under-levelled weapons/lack of experience can be so frustrating.
Edit: I am talking about level 30 raids here. I would never talk this way about normal mode.
Edit 2: I am trying to be as un-elitist as possible, I will usually solo the nightfall each week and put a post up offering any lower levels who want to be pulled through, no problem, but the level 30 raids are a different animal!

Edit 4: To the guy who is prattling on about getting 1188 kills in a single raid. This means
A. You were killing the endless mobs at the start to grow your e-penis.
B. You repeatedly wiped somewhere like the confluxes with your awful, underpowered weapon. 1188 kills in a single raid is something to be ashamed of.
Edit 5: This is not a discussion about gaming skill, some people are better than others and that's fine, this is a post about laziness, if you take a sub 300 weapon or no experience into a level 30 raid you are a selfish gamer, end of.
Edit 6: Hearing a level 31 say "Okay, so the three who can hold the relic get to the back of the arena, because that's who Atheon teleports." :-/
Edit 7: It is not cool to use The Last Word in a raid (I'm sure we can agree on that, at least)

The main reason I chose to play with friends. I will get the raids done in my own time with a group of friends. Not with some dick that invites me when I am minding my own business in the tower

Dude same here. I had my friends invite me to do the new raid abs several of the guys were using RARE armor and weapons. At level 30 and one of them level 31. It pissed me off. They couldn't damage anything.

3 Repliesbrought a buddy along to do crota day 1, found out he had no maxed weapons and his primary was one upgrade short. seriously questioning how we never noticed during the made HM VoG runs with him, guess we gave him the benefit of the doubt and never checked it out.

4 RepliesIf there was MatchMaking for the raid this wouldn't be an issue. More casual players who would be breaking your rules would likely stick to MM while lfg sites would be filled with a much higher percentage of knowledgeable players. The more casual players using MM would have the opportunity to level their weapons and eventually learn how to do the raid proper. Bungie needs to fix and finish their game.

4 RepliesI have yet to get any new guns other then all of the new raid weapons except black hammer. I only have a machine gun I got from nightfall and murmur which I don't use. Even if I did I wouldn't go out of my way to lvl up guns. I use what I want to use and you can't tell me otherwise.

2 RepliesThe vendor gear allowing you to hit level 31 was a HUGE mistake. We ran into the same issue with queen gear allowing people into nightfalls who would ask "What is solar damage?". Now we have level 20's hopping right up to 31 with absolutely no clue how to play the game and underpowered weapons.

1 ReplyNot everyone can just go out and get a max weapon. Older exotics that still havent been available for upgrades shouldn't even be considered a problem. Everyone has to start raiding sometime. Besides all you have to do is ask the ppl in your raid group what their raid exp is. Its the responsibility of top raiders to reach down and help those less fortunate. Cmon its the freaking holidays.

27 RepliesI just have a random question regarding the VoG raid: What's the best way to deal with Oracles in the Atheon fight? My Grim Citizen only holds 26 rounds so killing one means basically emptying my whole mag. Any ideas?

Yeah I've ran into this a lot as of late, makes no sense. We are trying to drop Crota and finally I inspect two ransoms to realize they are shooting base powered rocket launcher.

1 ReplySame for Nightfalls honestly. Those just aren't the time to upgrade weapons. Unless you just don't have anything better, go with a trusty, upgraded weapon.

I'm pretty sure we all had decent lvl weapons, mostly 300+. Sometimes it's simply about the a-holes you wind up with in the raid. Luckily the mute and block feature exists.

It seems to get into the fact that some players suck at croata and really don't know what they're doing. I find that the earlier you do the raid the better. I found this out with vog. I started running my raids on Tuesday and Wednesday. And did my weeklys later since a lot of the time the better players play earlier. I'm not saying this is always the case but those Thursday Friday weekend players usually aren't good.

2 RepliesI know, its so funny to see. When im doing the raid VoG with 30's and 31's on hard mode and they keep dying because they have done raid raid only a couple times. You need to have experienced people at this moment. Level doesnt say anything anymore.
