how did you beat the PVP thorn bounty?
I've got it at the moment and I literally cannot do it. Not because of a lack of skill or anything it's because I've got no void weapons. Apart from truth but I can't do a whole game with that can I? And I'm a hunter so no void for me. What did you use for the thorn bounty?
I want to get Atheons Epilogue.
But I'll probably end up using a blue fusion rifle/shotgun.
Tried it using a green fusion rifle I bought from gunsmith but it was absolute bullshit. It never 1hkd anyone. So -blam!-ing frustrating.
And I bought the void mg and like it so far.

I did it as hunter as well. Bladedancer with blink for escape and surprise. Super helps to prevent getting killed. At first vanguard shotgun (the comedian w void) but a blue void fusion did it for me. Played control but stay near, not IN the circle..

Edited by ghettobrawl: 12/19/2014 9:43:10 AMTwo parts. 1) Offense: Void heavy machine gun is key. If you're good enough, and you have a clip that holds like 50+, you can get about 7 kills a clip. Combo that with a fusion rifle and you'll be good offensively. 2) Defense: Try your hardest not to die. I usually walk everywhere so that it slows my game down. I take cover and run when my shield is down. Live to fight another day. Let others take front line and do damage as backup. Even if you only get 5 kills that game, as long as you're positive in kdr, you're good. I rarely used my primary when I was doing this bounty (unless you have a void primary). Took me about 5 games (kdr of 1.5+). Good luck man!

It's tough. You're absolutely right and I totally understand your frustration. Being a hunter would hurt even more (I skipped it on my Titan and completed with a Voidwalker). The best advice from your description I can give is to find a void machine gun instead of a rocket launcher. The Swarm is (I think) still purchasable at the Vanguard Armory. It fires slow, accurate punches that will typically outgun anything. And do whatever you can to find a Void shotgun or fusion, like you said. Good luck Guardian.

Bladedancer Hunter, went invisible each time, Void Blue Shotgun, Shotgun them in the face, repeat. Remember, as long as you killed 2 people each life, you've made profit.

Used void walker for warlock. And I used a sniper with void. I have never camped so much in my life but it was worth it. Thorn is -blam!-in sweet. It's the strike you have to do after that part of the bounty that's hard

It's a pain for me as well considering I only have two void weapons and they're both heavy, so I have to wait until heavy ammo drops before I can start working towards it.

Use a shotgun stay low and on corners of traffic always go for heavy amo and use a machine gun wait a minute or so to start stacking after other team uses heavy weapons

2 RepliesAnyone on Xbox One who needs to do the PVP part of Thorn pls let me know. I only play PVE but really want Thorn. We can go in FFA and get the void kills we need then back to PVE.

Went in with Atheon's Eplilogue, a void fusion rifle and whatever heavy I wanted to use. Played control the whole time hoping that control kills would give me more points. Not sure if that part worked but I got the bounty in ~8 matches.

1 ReplyHunter here! I swore a LOT. Used a shotgun the first time and a fusion rifle the second time. It took a while. I HIGHLY recommend skirmish or rumble - having less people shooting at you helps immensely
