DPS - Damage per second, currently being used most commonly to signal when to start firing at Crota to take down his shield. FR - Fusion Rifles, the bane of pvp and easily the most infuriating way to be killed in pvp The Vex - Vex is an alien race in the game but when someone refers to "the vex" most likely they are are talking about the Vex Mythoclast TLW - The last word, a really good hand cannon. Really shines in pvp/crucible. The Horn - Gjallahorn rocket launcher, nuff said LFG - Looking for group, either for pvp or pve Cheese - Describes a method used to complete an objective using exploits in the game, and/or unorthodox tactics such as wiping and reviving at an opportune time. Some cheese methods have been fixed by Bungie, most famously the ability to push the templar off the map. Raid Glitches - This isn't necessarily jargon per say, but glitches that are extremely famous due to their ability to literally derail an otherwise successful attempt at defeating a raid run. Unfortunately these glitches don't receive the same attention from Bungie as cheeses do. Earn - A term used by people to describe obtaining a loot drop from a randomly generated number system Xern or Xurn - A term used by "earners" (aka crybabies) to belittle other players who purchased their same weapon that made them feel special from Xur. Crydays - Fridays, a day of the week Xur returns to the tower to sell his goods; soon followed by a lot "earners" crying on the forums about their weapon they received through a random number generating system being sold by Xur.

HOTP... Husk of the pit

GHORN - Short for Gjallarhorn, arguably the best weapon in the game. SGA - Super Good Advice, post-buff a great machine gun. P&T - Patience and Time, an exotic Sniper Rifle. Shield! - Often shouted when the shield of a certain enemy is brought down, so that others can help get the final blow and take him down.
