How do you kill cursed thralls with your melee attack?
There doesn't seem to be a way to do it without dying.

Flame shield works pretty well.

Maneuver them to where only one is around you. Make sure to jack your toughness all the way up. Melee it, and you shouldn't die. But if there is even one other in close proximity, and you set off two of them, you will die. You can only melee one at a time.

1 ReplyLike Kain said, have a titan buddy drop an armor of light bubble. If he has the helm of Saint 14, even better. Titans are givers.

One of the missions with the room before phogoth you can melee them and die. Once you respawn the item will still be there just don't pick it up until the amount you need are on the ground then just quickly pick them all up. Thats how I finished the bounty.

I would punch then jump back and get as little damage as possible.

I get close and press the melee button (right stick fir greenthumbs)

easiest way is to do patrol on the moon where the lowest level enemies are and punch one it a time, should take you down to 1/10 of your health per thrall

Make sure you're armor is at the highest setting. Only kill it if its by itself.

I found that if I put a couple body shots in them before doing the melee kill they didn't seem to do as much damage when they exploded. Actually got the tip from another guy who said it worked for him and then it seemed to work for me. Perhaps the strength of their explosion is correlative to their remaining health? I mean you still almost die but before I would die always on my second attempt which would reset the bounty. After doing the body shot thing, I got all 5 without resetting. Try it out!

You can only do one at a time, and you must be at full health.. Run up melee and jump out before getting hit again.. It's hard to do but I was able to complete this bounty on my second go.. Also best place to do this is in the building on your way to skywatch, or the loot cave.. Summon the hive in the hive room by killing the level 20 thrall in the far left corner.. This summons about 10 exploding thrall, and a whole lot of normal ones so be careful..

Just change your armor load out. It's no big deal.

In Chamber of nights mission: Hunter (blade) > go invisible, kill one and run away Warlock (sun) > with melee that gives barrier Titan (defender) > same

On the "wakening" mission there's a room where you walk through a door onto a balcony below the balcony are about 20 Cursed Thralls. Lure the thralls away from each other and up the to the balcony one by one. Sometimes they com up in twos this is fine back pedal out the door way you walked in the two CTs will follow you to the doorway then seperate to either side carefully shoot each in the foot make sure he's not too close to his buddy then FACE-PUNCH. Regen and repeat.

I think the mission is shrine of oryx. There's thralls there that you can one shot melee but leave you alive. You can get all in one run or just leave and come back after doing like 2-3. The last wave has a lot of them and if you can't separate them you'll die.

I had a Titan buddy pop bubbles for me to stab them in lol I'm a puny hunter... You may kill me, but you will never take my agility!!!

Turn your armor up and you won't get insta killed

1 ReplyGo to the dark below last mission, melee a thrall and die from it. The little triangle reward thing will still be available to pick up once you respawn. Repeat 4 more times without picking the triangles up. Once there are 5 laying down, pick them up. Easiest challenge ever lol.

3 RepliesSwitch to full melee gear and gunslinger. Throw knives at them. I'm assuming this is on your hunter.

Have toughness up. Go world grave til u see cursed thralls. Take pot shots until sure u can kill with 1 melee. Melee. Go to safe spot. Repeat from pot shot step when hp is back up.
