Still waiting for factions to accept my vanguard marks as currency. You have a lot of pve players that still play and hate being forced into crucible just to acquire the one piece of faction gear they want.
You can earn faction rep either way, so why can't you buy faction gear either way?

I really don't enjoy playing the crucible because it's not really my thing, so hopefully they add a mechanic where you can use vanguard marks. I wouldn't even mind paying more vanguard marks or making it easier to get crucible marks for people that play it. I enjoy raiding and strikes, I don't want to be forced into pve. Besides, BF4 is my main pve game and I don't need another one.

How about you just play pvp then? You can earn 100 crucible marks in like 4 hours of solid play, obviously along with some rep, and a slim chance at a good reward. If your not good at pvp then play more until you until you know what your doing and can get positive kds. The 2/3 events in this game are pvp and besides that 1/2 this game is crucible anyways. Now ill admit the rewards for the crucible are whack, you can play 3-4 games in a row and not get anything compared to if you play 3 lvl 26 strikes and get a purple ship and purple engram along with the 5-6 blue engrams that your guaranteed to find.

Getting crucible marks isn't all that hard. As a primarily PvE player that isn't all that good at crucible, I think getting crucible marks is as fast as vanguard marks. I got my NM cloak from cryptarch and have had no problem ranking up and purchasing my faction gear.

2 or 3 marks in the same time you could get 6 on the pve side? And it's not about time consumption, it's about player preference and customization. As someone else in this thread has said, as a pve player you're essentially denied access to 80% of the tower vendors because you don't like that playlist. Without these vendor items you quite simply can't get your armor to customize your load out so that all of your preferred weapons are buffed and are instead stuck with whatever you can hodge podge together. Attempting to force players into a playlist they don't like for items that they should be able to obtain either way will only result in resentment towards the developers and players continuing to leave this game behind as many already have. If bungie doesn't want their baby to go belly up, they need to start listening to the people that pay their bills. Meaning us consumers

I've made several posts saying this same thing. I'm equipping gear that has perks for weapons I don't use. Why? Because the Crucible is loathsome and it's all the Vanguard dude sells. Having access to one fifth the items sold in the Tower is rather sad. Something just occurred to me.... What if the whole point of forcing the PvE players into the Crucible is strictly to keep the numbers up to reduce matchmaking times since the other PvP games are stealing all the PvP players? "Oh crap, now that the new Halo and COD games are released our Crucible player count is severely lacking. Let's force everyone into the Crucible if they want to upgrade their characters with the new gear. That will reduce the wait times!"

I just go to crucible when i don't really want to play. I jump in, do nothing, cone back and move my character every few minutes. That way i get the marks.

Simply a tool they are using to strong arm gamers into playing crucible, a crucible that many gamers like myself, hate with a passion. Of course we don't have to play crucible. However, 4 out of the 5 gear vendors REQUIRE crucible marks. Only the Vanguard take vanguard marks, EVERY where else requires crucible marks. So you play crucible or you are denied access to 80% of the gear sold in the tower. Now that is ridiculous and a classic example of strong arming. I played crucible enough to get one item I wanted after the DLC and so far that is all I could stomach, hated every minute of it. When it comes to real, substantial changes of true significance that many gamers desire, the message being sent is clear. Any changes that would truly make the game more enjoyable for myself and many other gamers......is completely irrelevant to them. Small changes, especially ones that take away previous progress and increase the repetitive monotonous grind. These are decreed as acceptable. The torch I once carried for this game is slowly burning out. For many, it already has.

My only complaint about the crucible mark its too time consuming it's what 2-5 marks per match other than that I'm ok with it.

Well, I remember reading the Grimiore (or whatever) made it make sense why they only accept Crucible marks. Completely forgot why, though.

I hear you, I'd love to be able to get raid gear without having to go through the raid. But alas, you have to actually run the raid to get the gear and max level. I'd have no problem if the strictly pve guys could use vanguard marks for gear if, us, pvp guys could get to max level. I think both pve and pvp prefered players should be able to reach max level. Maybe have players carry a flag of some sort. Like a samurai banner or something. Have Crota on raid gear max, and crossed swords or guns on the pvp one.

They did it right with the last iron banner and made it raid class then screwed the pvp guys this turn around, completely agree with you there. I understand players on that side don't want to raid. This is a great game, bungie just needs to realize that not every player (in fact most) is not going to like every aspect of it and adjust the rewards system so that they keep EVERYONE interested. Or else their fanbase is going to dissappear.

Um sorry but you are wrong about the IB. I had full set from last one and still was only 29. This time around the gear plus a new chest/helmet and an exotic still only gets you to 31.
