Iron Banner 3: Who else won't go all in??
Considering that I've already replaced all the armor that I got just about 3 weeks ago after grinding way more that I would have liked, I think I will largely sit out tomorrow's event.
What do you plan to do? Bump if you don't plan to do it all again.

I LOVE the Iron Banner but they totally ruined the rewards this time! I'm definitely not going to grind to rank 4 so I can spend all my glimmer to buy equipment equivalent to that which I can buy from a vendor!

The first time around I played right away, twelve hours straight, non-stop. This time around there isn't a damn thing to obtain from leveling up, even the shaders are the same, come on. If they even had an emblem, shader or different class item for ranking up I would have jumped in but they couldn't even do that, it just screams lazy.

I'll wait until the gear is equal to the Raid for lvl 32. I love the way it looks but as of right now I don't "need" the 33 light versions just to loose them in a few weeks, again. Although I did play for the chance of a random drop, I'd like a new Lash since we can't reforge to the higher level.

Nope. I just broke down the boots I got from the last Iron Banner and got...wait for it... hadronic essence. It's legendary gear so why no shards? This is the type of shit I just don't get about this game. I know it's a first for them and everything but cohesion isn't new. Keeping things consistent isn't new. If the -blam!-ing armor isn't going to break down into the same bullshit economy mats then why the -blam!- is it purple and not blue? It just seems lazy and an artificial means to inflate game time. Ugh. Back to the grind.

I only play for the bounties so I can lvl up gear and weapons faster. THAS it. I got everything I wanted from IB last time.

4 RepliesIve played about 20 games since yesterday. It feels different than the last Iron Banner for some reason and the drops are incredibly lackluster. I havent seen a single legendary drop.

Same stuff as last time and same light lvls as vendors and drops. I'm not even going in this time.

Nope. Not participating at all. Why? Because I hate putting in effort (getting IB rank 5) just to have it completely wiped and treated as meaningless or not important enough to retain. There's no good reason for rank to be wiped every time it comes out. There's nothing new to be gained by getting the rank cap a second time once you own the top rank items from the last play. Further disrespect of our efforts by not giving those of us who spent time getting the IB armor a path for leveling it up.
