In case you haven't noticed, Halo's idea was from the Bible.
I think loads of people know this but for those of you who do not... Well, was in my Church when the Pastor starts going on about "The Covenant" and "The Ark" and I was like, "Oh my god, the Pastor plays Halo as well?" So I searched Wikipedia (no, not Halopedia) and look what I found...

And some of those pros include teaching people to be kind to others, and to help others when needed. If everyone followed your religion (some call it complete ignorance, others call it being a dick), then I would kill myself, because the world would be a bitter husk which supports no life or goodness.

The reason why we have the poor problem is because of everybody. Escpecially Imperialism. Sin and violence leads to poverty. I you have notice at one time each country had it's good days. Someone always wanted to overthrow the prosperous, the prosperous always wanted to keep the poor in there control. Poverty ties in also to peoples choices. Like alot of Americans are loosing there jobs becaue of Bush. If all the world wanted to fix poverty we would have done it by now. Most people are greedy or feel sorry for the poor but don't want to do anything about it. You can't get mad at God for him giving us choice. Sin is on earth because of our choices. We have so many problems because of oyr choices.

Great find in the op. For all the people bashing it in this thread. Why be so closed minded!? Religion is a very solid base for a story or game. And in no way did the op say that anyone was trying to get a bible in your ignorant little hands, so chill the frig out. Many games do this; Final Fantasy (including the names of all aeons, gaurdian forces, etc and more) God of war (obviosly haha) I don't know any more off the top of my head but I know there are MANY. All and all religious parellels bring alot of power and umph to stories and characters, so be glad it was done because it contributes to the success of the halo series.

I realize that this Post was thrown of topic. It's just that most of us related Halo to the bible, whats wrong with that. Even bungie knows the related it to the bible. If this religious topic didn't include halo it would have been locked. It is a good topic though. Maybe bungie doesn't mind it. I don't know.

If you look in popular culture, you'll see lots of people who draw inspiration from the Bible. Another example would be the Matrix, or Lord of the Rings, where christian references abound. But what really sets the difference between the Bible and Halo is that one is real and the other.... not so much.;)
