As if it wasn't already blatantly obvious, Infinity Ward confirmed that Call of Duty players aren't real gamers. They play it every night, yet they're far from hardcore gamers, and they'll keep buying the newest games regardless of platform. So, for that reason, there won't be any real changes to the franchise this generation (although that was to be expected, really).
Discuss or ignore, I don't care. I'm just gonna laugh about it a bit more.
Old, but gold, and even better: it's on the record.

If you play a game(s) quite often, then you are a gamer. That of course is my opinion. I play games, lots of them on console and PC. CoD is amongst them. I take this stance simply because if I had such a narrow view of things we could argue that people who only play FPS games are not gamers as they are simply buying and playing FPSers regardless of title. IF's personal stance about their community is an attempt to excuse their previous titles lack of true variation. Their argument being "if it aint broke dont fix it, the masses want a straight forward shooter, let us give it to them".
