Did every Titan buy Ruined Wings?
I've seen a lot of people bought them but they didn't really appeal to me. I have the Armamentarium, which I upgraded, and I bought 3 exotic helm engrams but was unable to get the Helm of Saint :'( which is the only piece that I would swap out my Armamentarium for.
So, did you buy the Ruined Wings? What did you swap out for them?

[u]Ruined Wings are back for a second consecutive week! That's annoying for the people who bought them last week, but for people like myself who weren't convinced beforehand now have a second chance to obtain them. From all of the posts on here I think it's fair to say the overwhelming majority of you say they are good for getting heavy ammo, even if they're just used sporadically during a raid/strike to obtain the heavy ammo then switch the Wings back out for a favoured exotic[/u]

Ruin Wings and Saint-14 are the only Exotic Armor I use for PvE. PvP i just use the Exotic Legs just because.

Scrapped my Armetarium to max ruin wings. Makes heavies usable as a primary. Weird thing is I got the matching legs last week and was getting more than usual heavy drops. Not the same but noticeably more.

Ruin Wings, Raid Boots, Gjallarhorn together is simply outstanding. Better than Armamentarium.

LOVE ruin wings, but I use saint-14 or inmost light way more, mostly because I don't have the raid helm ;)

I use them because I have raid helm. they are hands down the best exotic for titan heavy doesn't rain all the time but when it does you can get 4-5 Gallys every time you pick up one

No, I didn't buy them when Xur sold them, but now I want them purely for fashion and have been searching ever since.

No but I sure want to. More options are always good, and if I dont get the right drops from the raid, then I can mix and match a bit better

I main a Warlock. But the Ruin Wings have to be the best exotic for any class. You save so much synth doing hard mode with these things on.

You can get 4-5 rockets when you pick up a heavy pack instead of only getting 1 or 2

Nope, my titan owner only uses armamentarium!! He's had, armamentarium from nightfall and also the mk44 boots from nightfall... Both sharded.

When they are working, it's a sea of purple on the ground. I've farmed for a straight 1/2 hour using nothing but found heavy ammo before. Thank you ruin wings.

3 RepliesWell this week (Friday January 30th) Xur has nothing useful AGAIN except for Don't Touch Me for hunters. Those are great for the 1st part of the raid. You go invisible every time you take melee damage and there is no cool down. Makes soloing the first part of Crota's End very easy. I have a Titan and hunter. I mainly am looking for useful exotic weapons since I have 98 coins. But, except for Icebreaker week, Xur has been pretty much useless. And no heavy ammo synthesis for 3 weeks. So now to the subject. The one fun, slot machine type of scenario, is when he sells exotic engrams. I just bought 2. One of these was Ruin Wings. I saw them and realized this could be my answer to heavy ammo in the raid. I'm so glad to hear they work, for the most part. I have The Glasshouse, Helm of Saint 14, Insurmountable Skullfort, The Armamentium and No Backup Plans. And I will gladly switch any of those out in the raid for Ruin Wings if they work. Especially at the Crota battle when the helmets don't really come in handy. And neither do my other 2 except for the option of 2 grenades. But I can live without any of those to not have to use heavy ammo synthesis. At least this week with Xur wasn't a complete letdown. But I got the gauntlets from an engram. Xur wasn't selling them.
