As the topic says I only have enough glimmer and time to upgrade one exotic weapon this week on my warlock and the choices are The Last Word or Thunderlord.
Firstly with thunderlord I love it but at the same time I hate it. I love the way it shoots when it has stability but it only has 38 bullets...so while I love the perk with the few bullets it has it doesn't really do me much good but nevertheless I love the thing.
Also today while I was shooting a bunch of Thrall in the weekly Heroic I noticed something strange that I haven't noticed before. Every once in a while when I was shooting a bunch of them there would be a lightening explosion that would take out a few, either that or bullet spraying killed them...I'm hoping it was a lightning explosion. Either way can any of you confirm this lightning explosion thing?

2 RepliesThe lightning explosion is a perk that the gun has, although it is not shown. Basically, critical hits have the chance to create those explosions, making it a crowd control beast. A really cool feature, and it just makes me love the gun even more.

The Last Word is completely unnecessary to upgrade unless you play Iron Banner heavily. It primarily a PvP gun as the clip size and fire rate do not make it ideal for large groups of enemies. It is however a stellar 1v 1 gun in PvP. Thunderlord is good all round and a little underated. That being said I only upgraded it for shits and giggles and because I had nothing else to upgrade. It gets very little use but is useful.

Thunderlord hits like a truck, but the extra damage (31) could make a significant difference, especially because it only has a limited mag. That being said. TLW is decent in PVP and Iron Banner comes back Tuesday. If I can be used as an example of the average IB player, then you're gonna be dealing with Post-DLC upgraded Suros and Level 31s, if not 32s. If you don't give a care about IB, then it's no contest, Thunderlord is much more effective in PVE.

well seeing as all the new weapon's have alot smaller clip's take a peek at the inventory's Thunderlord is on par with ammo. Thunderlord is great in both pve and pvp (nightfalls etcetc) TLW is great at pvp and sub-par pve PVP (excuding Iron Banner) has equalized damage.... so i leave you with that to think on .....
