Is Xur's transaction process broken?
Looks like he is selling stuff I've been waiting for (e.g Suros Regime ) but in order to buy a suros from him, you need to have a exotic suros regime already? This is also th3 case for rest of the weaponry he is selling (you need to have one already in order to buy from him). This doesn't make sense, unless I'm missing something for this week's visit.

3 RepliesI'm sure people have rudely explained it before me so I'll make it simple. The second row of xurs "wares" are not items for sale. Those are items that he is offering to upgrade, if you already have the item to begin with. You can use this to upgrade old exotics(300attack, 30 light) into the new value level of exotics with 331 attack or 36 light.

Haha have to admit I had the same problem! Well sorta... Raced home from work in anticipation of what the prick was gonna sell post DLC. Hoping for an icebreaker or gally. Got to the tower looked for a mob of fellow guardians eagerly hoping for an early Christmas present. Screen loaded up saw the TRUTH. (Swore like a sailor for a minute) almost through the controller through the tv. Composed myself to see what other crap was on sale, then saw the icebreaker (I nearly blew a load right on the controller). But then I realised it was an upgrade only, so I went back to contemplating throwing the controller through the tv. I paused... Calmly put the controller down all while trying to fit as many 4 letter words in a minute as I could. FYI I only used 3 but there were lots of them. Then went outside for a smoke and CHILLED THE F**K OUT! We all make mistakes ladies and gentleman, where only human after all. The only thing that is stupid about A question are the types of answers given. Any who keep it real! But not to real! Peace out!

Those are just upgrades. Exotic weapons got upgraded but Xur is selling upgrades for the old 'unupgraded' exotic weapons you already have. They only require 1 exotic shard, ~7.5kish glimmer and you have to be equipping the exotic itself to get the upgrade. When you upgrade, it resets all progress but it'll have the Attack stat upgrade (old max was 300, now it's 331).

Hes going to start selling exotic upgrades for your currently owned exotics to bring them up to new damage/armor specs as of the DLC release.

The stuff I'm that section is just his upgrades to your pre owned exotics. You're not purchasing anything new there, only upgrading old stuff if you do have it. You can only buy the stuff up top homie.
