That way the people that complain about xur selling things can prove to people they got their gun or armor piece from rng if there is no star next to the weapon or armor name.
Edit: Remember how Bungie wanted exotics to have their own "unique story" or what have you? Well maybe if you don't see that gold Xur star next to the name of an exotic, you can ask people how they got their weapon or armor and they can go on about how epic that nightfall mission they got it from was, or how lucky they were when they got that exotic from a crucible match.
Edit2: Comparing a video game to the holocaust? Grow up and think like an adult. Make it a gold circle for all I care, make it a gold parallelogram. The reason it's gold so that it signifies the color of exotics and Xur.

TLDR: i want to be able to brag that i got mine through a random drop to prove that i have more skill than other people

Bungie should put a box of tissues above your characters because you cry and whine about meaningless things.

They won't

2 RepliesSuch a dumb pointless idea. This thread itself deserves its own special retard star.

8 RepliesThe last time someone went around putting gold stars on things it started WW2

That's a pointless suggestion. Anyone who cares if you got your exotic through RNG or Xur is just being an elitist prick. I could care less if my friends bought their exotics or got them through drops. I'm just happy when my friends find one. Because it makes the game more fun for us all around. Same with strangers. Got a new exotic? Congratulations! Use it well, regardless of how it was obtained!

2 RepliesWhy not just give the weapon a different color scheme? I'd equate it to shiny variant in pokemon. Just as effective but a little unique. (Btw I don't care about earning vs. xurning)

Man this thread is so 2 months ago

It's never that serious.

2 RepliesEdited by Daveee x 17: 12/12/2014 7:56:03 PMMore of this urning crap? My god let it rest already. I have 50/50 exotics. Bought half from xur and the rest was dropped or from bounties. Guess what it's the same. Who cares. Some of you guys are so petty.

No. Doesn't matter what they said in the past. Wanna know the story how I got my second Patience and Time? I did the raid. I opened a chest. I got the weapon. Epic huh? Oh wait, let me tell you how I got my Knucklehead Radar. You'll love this one. I did the Nightfall and got it. So much epic.
That way the people that complain about xur selling things can prove to people they got their gun or armor piece from rng if there is no star next to the weapon or armor name.
You are not a unique snowflake. Stop worrying about how other people got their gear. They wanted Exotics to be unique. The fact is they failed in this aspect. Move on.
Comparing a video game to the holocaust?
Well, you are trying to single out a certain type of person and mark them.

4 RepliesBetter idea: If you have a xur weapon equipped you can't kick the purple ball in the Tower. A fitting punishment.

So give a way where more idiots can segregate people simply based on their delusional perception that RNG is a more valid method of "earning"? No thanks. And please don't quit your day job. Game design is not your calling.
-
Actually, I'd like to have a "favorites" feature like in Borderlands 2, where you hit R3 and it puts a gold star on the item. That would be a great way to prevent accidental dismantling, because you'd see the star and remember you're hanging on to the item for a reason.

Agreed

Put a crying baby icon next to RNG rewards/drops.

They could put RNG on the exotics that were dropped randomly?

Why who gives a shit where other people got their weapons. What a stupid idea formulated by a total pole dancing chimp.

1 ReplyThey should put a GOLD star next to your name for being so special.

I wouldnt mind if the RNG stats were just a little more generous on RNG drops vs Xur bought. But this begs the question, how to deal with Xur bought engrams.
