Legendary Engram Drops... The Myth
They don't exist. I've never seen one fly in the air and drop on the ground. Those who say they do are lying to us.
Edit 1: Thanks everyone for the replies. I just find it hard to believe that my luck is so disastrous. I really hope the winds of fortune turn in my direction soon. This drought is frustrating.
Edit 2: I'll edit again when/if I end up getting my first one. I'm going to roll a warlock when i get home (need one anyways) to see if my luck changes on a different character.
Edit 3: THANK RNGESUS!!!!!!! Just got a heavy weapon legendary Engram drop from a silly little level 6!!!!!!!!!! TURNED INTO DRAGON'S BREATH!!!!!!!!!

I have been finding a lot more since last patch and dlc, sadly all have turned into energies

I just found another one during this weeks nightfall this Tuesday. It dropped off an Acolyte in Omnigul's final room where you actually fight her.

I've found only around 4-6 and one of those times it was 2 back to back! Also sucks being the color blind person that I am, I can't tell what's rare or legendary when the engrams drop on the ground. But when it is legendary I'm like Ohhhh crapp lol.

Just had one drop yesterday doing strike playlists (it was the earth strike, dropped from a fallen in the valley in front of the walker) so yes it happens, my friend has had way better luck with RNGESUS than me though.

Edited by Lockon Stratos: 12/11/2014 11:33:49 PMim with you man since that update they did for engrams ive gotten maybe 5-6 purple engrams, half of them rolled for ascendant materials. The drops are rare enough you should just be guaranteed an item. we have other ways of getting ascendant materials

Play the Roc playlist! Got quite a few yesterday, it's how I got my new scouty, a Warlock vest (not yet equipped), and a Titan class item (not equipped, both of the latter items in-fact lie in my Vault.)
