SHOTGUNS AND FUSION RIFLES IN PvP

2 RepliesI get why people dislike Shotguns and Fusion rifles so much but there are bounties to use them, which is why people use them. That's the reason why I use them anyway. Not so much the fusion rifle because I'll be honest I hate it, hate the charge up, hate everything about it. Whenever I get killed by one I drop F bombs like no one else's business but I think it does take a certain amount of skill to use. It is something that needs to be timed right other wise your ass out taking shots. They can be countered like someone said with strafing and precise shooting.

I love the face people are complaining about 2/3 of the secondarys constantly the only reason people dont cry about snipers is because there are few sniper friendly maps, most are very close quarters and require that type of play.

6 RepliesIf you're upset that they're OP, I understand. But realistically, a shotgun will mess you up close range. And a fusion rifle needs to be charged and can be easily avoided by a good strafe and cover. But I found the best way to counter them is to conform and get one yourself. You might find a specific fusion rifle finds a place in your heart

Like i've said many times.......nerf the special ammo drop rate by 80% to get people to use the primary weapon they have neglected since launch.

Their idea is that one should have an opportunity to react to a person with one of those weapons, but in reality one should play in such a way as to be proactive against these weapons. Using a shotgun or a fusion rifle requires risks that users of other weapons don't have to worry about, and these risks offset the advantages. Fusion rifles have a charge time which requires the user to anticipate where the enemy is going to be while leaving the user vulnerable. Shotgun users have to get to very close range, which gives enemies time to kill them first or anticipate the possibility that the person running toward them has a shotgun. Sniper rifles are a bit more questionable because there's not much risk to camping, but I wouldn't say they are unfair - just not much fun. In general, I think the guns are well-balanced. The only thing I can complain about is the grenade that follows you like a heatseeker and then kills you. It requires no skill to throw a grenade unless you have to aim it, so that one seems silly. If a grenade is going to give you that much of an advantage at hitting targets, then it shouldn't do enough damage to instantly kill someone with full shields. I shouldn't have to run halfway across the map to avoid death just because someone blindly threw a grenade.

Shotguns are the same in every game and they've already been nerfed a bit in this one. Fusion rifles have a charge time before they can fire, leaving the people vulnerable and allowing their enemies to strafe or move around and be a hard target to hit. Learn to adapt your playstyle.

I don't mind the guns, I mind the ease of killing the shotgun delivers when someone slides or uses the warlock melee afterword. Its too easy.

Yes they can be but it depends on what every one else is using. Using Suros, Last Chance or Bad Juju is going to wreck Fusion rifles if you get the jump on them and keep strafing. I'm currently trying to get the Thorn and have to get lots of kills using Void damage only...Atheons Epilogue, Light beware and a heavy machine gun is what I load out with. If I'm being sneaky, the fusion is just epic but you've got to prepare for people. Otherwise I was getting demolished by Suros and the other ARs all day long. I actually got more kills using Atheons Epilogue. Do I think Fusion rifles need a nerf - not entirely. Sure, across map kills are a little wrong but otherwise, all level. A lot of people are using the Shotgun Blink combo...now THAT sucks lol

Oh god. Just stop. Every day, someone has to bitch about this. I get way more pissed when I come across ax whole team running with snipers. Anyways. Point is, no need to say something like this. When u dont have any reasoning besides there op. All secondary weapons are equally strong in the right situation.
