It is legitimate. If you go to their profiles they have the emblem for clearing the raid and check their raid stats. To give these guys credit they are with [b]Team Invigorate[/b] who also cleared VOG on hard first. They beat the raid in under 6 hours!

EDIT: It looks like you will need a Lvl 31 to hold the sword at the end of the raid but all other parts are doable with Lvl 30s only.
I've seen teams almost defeat Crota with all 30s. I think it is possible but extremely hard.
The fireteam was only 6. You can not have a 7 man fireteam. I'm assuming they dropped someone and replaced them at some point.
The Lvls on the link say Lvl 29 because they switched gear after the raid.

3 RepliesOur team got to Crota in about 3-4 hours when the DLC dropped. We spent the next 10 hours trying to beat crota with all level 30s. Sadly we did not. We got him below half health maybe 40 percent but inevitably...Enrage took us all out. We then realized we would not be able to beat him until after enrage, so we found a spot behind the right tower where adds cant hit you and you have a perfect line of sight with the oversoul. 25 minutes later the enrage is still going strong with no end in sight. We kept formulating different strategies to deal more dps... In the end we lost to Crota. Level 30 raid that apparently cant be beat with level 30s...
