+1 ... normal expectation of how new content works ... why would the old gear stay good? If it was done more in line with others new greens should be better than old purples. Be happy you can keep your exotics ... sucks that I had 3 sets of raid gear though for different situations LOL anyways time to get the new stuff!

  • The problem is that some of that "old" gear is only a week old (Iron Banner lvl 30). We then spent our materials on them and had them immediately rendered useless. Add to that the necessity of grinding crucible (now that we can no longer rep boost using material trade), and it's disheartening for PVE players.

  • Yea that does suck and I am also feeling that myself, it certainly seems some of the gear and the events could have been timed and managed better. An expansion out after what 3 months, shows how small the beautiful world of Destiny is sadly. There are so many variables that go into this game and the content and its release. I wonder if delaying 6 months would have changed things, then again 6 months with the money this costed, delay was not an option. The word disheartening surely is valid, for the people that get this for xmas there almost might not even be a need to experience VoG ... :(
