I really don't see what the problem is. This is how games like this work. When new content comes out the shit gear is always better than old raid gear. I remember playing WOW that Cataclysm greens were better than my full set of Lich King raid gear. It's just how it works. At least we can upgrade our Exotics, it's something.

I made a post suggesting making the hard VoG change to lv 32 but drop 36 light gear (capable of reaching 32) and drop guns with more max damage like ALL the new guns. This will save th VoG and have no affect against the Crota raid.. Plus it would be another hard challenge

They don't need to nerf the new vanguard gear they just need to make full raid gear +33. So many hours on VoG needs to mean something else why raid?

i agree 2 lvl 30 and a 29 and i have been screwed on so many levels first all my cool raid gear with glowing red things hanging out of it is now usless. im going to be forced to wear some sort of hive carcass, like a giant roach carapace. from the the first hour of play we have known the hive was weak and nasty. they have piles of sh*t where ever they hide out. nobody has time for that. and 2nd i loged on tuesday to see i could not play the night fall like i always do so i bought the dlc. then i find out how screwed i really was. so when i could have just quit i paid 34.99 to rub it in my face before before forcing me to wear the same thing every other player is wearing. and do i really even need to mention the vanguard armor, or the last iron banner and the sweet arms i got . or the iron banner fusion rifle that i got reforged until it was just perfect. all a bunch of crap now . used to you could tell and item was crap by the color not any more. bottom line i feel bamboozeled by bungie. 2 diffrent exotics of the same item ...... get the f**k out of here .

Well we had to level up somehow, and it's not likely that they would just boost the VOG gear. As it stands now, vanguard gear that you earn should put you just below the soft cap (31 now) and the new raid gear will put you at the soft cap of 32. While it's a little frustrating that your best gear can be replaced, that's just the nature of loot riven games like this man. It's nothing new. And the new vanguard items aren't just for newbies. At least as a level 30 raider you can probably handle the weekly and nightfall allot easier than someone whose trying to grind up from 28 or 29.

THIS IS A 100% ACCURATE REPRESANTION OF WHAT I'M THINKING. I have 3 level 30's all different classes......it's just not fair
