No basically if you want to gear up for stronger enemies you'll need stronger gear. Your old gear will work fine on lvl30 or below activities.

My point exactly. The only reason to get the DLC is to level up your gear so you can do the activities in the DLC... which are minimal.

So don't buy it and move on.

Sadly, I already bought it, a mistake I won't be repeating. But like I said, I enjoy the gameplay, so though I won't be buying more DLC, I'll still play the game; something I recommend to anyone who likes the game enough to consider buying the DLC.
