so where are all the commendations for all the rep levels we already earned ?

So If my Vanguard is 11 then I won't get one till I'm 12. Seems a way to punish people who have put in effort to level their reputation.

You got a legendary package each time you leveled. That was the primary reason to go past level 3. Your effort and time wasn't wasted then.

It's a legendary package. Guaranteed legendary items. Only Cryptarch can give you blues.

I am vanguard LV 8, and have gotten a gun once and a piece of armor once.

Bad info! I have gotten a single mote of light as a reward for leveling Vanguard twice.

Mote of Light is a legendary level item. It also includes Shards, Energy and Coins in case anyone else wants to claim this is bad info and uses those items as examples.

They are considered legendary items regardless of the color. This is what Bungie stated I believe. Regardless, I was responding to your claim that you got 95% blues from leveling up factions. And this is simply not possible or true. Obfuscation is the tool for someone in denial

When I got them as rewards they were still rare.

They were always legendary level, but didn't show as Purple in game. Bungie addressed and changed it. The bottom line is there is no possible way Alpine's claim that he got 95% blues from leveling factions. It's just not possible or true.

I'm pretty sure you aren't playing my game. I have 3 chars, and have had really bad luck with the RNG with vanguard lv up rewards. The package is always legendary, but it always contains blue crap, just like the Cryptard packages do.

Blues aren't listed as a possible reward when leveling factions. Only the cryptarch shows you can get blue. Maybe I'm wrong. I don't claim to know everything for sure. The next time I level up a faction I will carefully look at the possible reward levels to confirm, which should be later this evening. Have to go to work now.

It's not like it takes more rep per level. It's completely fair

Use a faction that is low to have it go faster. They can transfer from character to character as well, so dont waste your time trying to rank up a high ranked faction it will take forever, explore one of them you havent used much

Unfortunately I was the guy that rotated factions so all of my levels on all three of my characters are at least level 3 or above. I mean it's their game and they can do as they see fit, however 8 commendations in the mail would have been a great way to say thanks for playing our game.

Edited by DukeDave: 12/9/2014 4:20:18 PMYou have to be at least level 3 in a faction to get commendations. Edit: Also, everything past level 3 has the same experience requirements, so basically, level 3 is already a "high ranked" faction using your term.

Bungie's MO for this game is apparently to punish their playerbase and bend them over every few weeks with batshit insane updates that nobody ever needed, while things we do need and want still haven't manifested. Where's that vault space? Where's the expanded shader system? Where's the -blam!-ing narrative?
