Seriously, the perks and stats on most of the new vendor weapons are horrible. Thank God the faction weapons didn't change. Vanquisher VII is the new best auto rifle you can buy. Anyone else disappointed by the new offerings?
EDIT: So I purchased "Up For Anything" from the Vanguard Armory to test it out as some of you have given it good praises. So far i'm not impressed though i'm not very far in the unlock process. Will keep unlocking and report back later if I change my opinion.

1 ReplyAlthough there is a little disappointment on the weapons front - they can't differ too much from what they offer the users that haven't bought the expansion pack.. If they did, well, I know if I didn't buy the expansion pack (why wouldn't you anyway) I would probably do a bit more than tap my feet..

Up For Anything is sollllid. Both of mine are drops so I cant speak 100% for the buyable weapon but Up For Anything is the new Shadow Price. /Still got one of those bad boys stashed somewhere
-
I hate the new vanguard stuff
-
BLine Trauma, Saterienne Rapier, For The People. The rest....Meh.

1 ReplyEdited by Un1337ninj4: 12/15/2014 9:11:04 AMBah, I disagree. I speak having acquired three of 'em from engrams and I love these weapons IMMENSELY! My new For The People performs on-par to my ol' Vanq VIII, my Another NitC superior to my ol' Crusader I (which was better than the VoC) PvE, and my new Sniper is just a hair shy of having Ice Breaker's Impact with (my opinion) better perks.

2 RepliesCrucible Hand Cannon is AMAZING TFWPKY 1969 -Kills with this weapon grant bonus ammo directly to the magazine -Missing a shot has a chance of returning directly to the magazine --> No more reloading :-)
-
The vendor weapons set perks always kinda suck, very average sorta whatever perks, I've got most of my legendaries from engrams doing strikes and faction rank ups, the perks are like nearly always better
-
1 ReplyThey should be garbage. The best loot should always drop in hard raids.
-
5 RepliesI'm not a PvP person at all but the pulse rifle Three Little Words has peaked my interest. It may possibly get me in the crucible to rank up the vendor and get some marks. With almost the exact same stats as my current weapon, it is ideal for my next level weapon
-
Think? They are. You're better off hoping a drop of one of the weapons is better and just go for those. Like The Chance that I have...with explosive rounds! Such a fun gun.

Like the first batch, it's about the re-rolled versions from faction rank up.
-
4 RepliesI'm seriously disappointed as well. "The Devil You Know " is my favorite hand cannon. To see "The Devil You Don't " in the vendor with what appears to be useless perks really stings. The other guns seemed paltry as well in the perk-stat dept...
-
Got the do gooder from an engram and its really not that bad..
-
5 RepliesWhat i find funny is the piece of shit handcannon that replaced Devil You Know. What a POS.

Edited by Void: 12/15/2014 4:59:44 PMOP, you really have to upgrade the Up For Anything all the way to really experience the greatness of it. The combination of the 3 range perks are its main appeal. I have mine maxed out at 331 and the range of it is ridiculous. On any crucible map besides the really big ones I will do the max damage because the range is so ridiculously high with all 3 of those perks. Also, the vanguard sniper is ridiculous. Same stats as the Supremacy but it also has armor piercing rounds and flinch less when being shot. It's an amazing sniper.
-
The only thing I think is worth buying is the vanguard rocket launcher.
-
I actually like a lot of the vanguard weapons. Not big on many of the crucible weapons

Edited by IAMHusar: 12/15/2014 9:52:23 AMThe new vanguard rocket launcher "One Way Ticket" looks nice. Almost like a Gjallarhorn without tracking. Autorifles "Up For Anything" (vanguard vendor) and "Do Gooder V" (crucible vendor) look like legendary versions of the good old Shingen* (impact/RoF/stability) . *Shadow Price/Grim Citizen were just legendary versions of Galahad. Many people on my FL who are playing the Crota Raid are using now - maxed out ofc - the vanguard scout rifle "Another NITC" instead of the VOC.
-
1 ReplyUp for anything actually looks decent and the Saterriene Rapier (crucible scout rifle- spellcheck?) actually looks really good. Same with the crucible fusion rifle and the vanguard rocket
-
Someone in a similar post thinks it's because the weapons are made for killing hive. Getting rushed by swarms of weak enemies, a weapons with high rate of fire can mow them down. It makes sense but i have no idea. I'll stick with my original Vanquisher VIII.
-
6 RepliesI've loot dropped Do Gooder V and Up For Anything ARs... horrible impact, small mag vs. RoF. Making sure Suros stays OP vs. all other ARs? I dislike ARs in general, and can't wait for Xur to drop Red Death 2.0 and plan on holding onto Bad Seed Down to the bitter end.
-
I'm very disappointed they replace the curcible weapons "cryptic dragon" with explosives rounds and "hex caster" with fast fire rate and perfect balance. I don't care that the new weapons have 30 more damage then the old guns but they still look a lot better than the new ones and had better perks! But at least they upgraded unwilling soul with perfect balance & glass half full.
-
Yup, first day of the dlc I was looking through the vanguard weapons and I didn't buy a single one, decided I'd rather wait for RNG. Though I suppose that's the point, bungie wants us buying as few weapons as possible so we spend longer on the game.
-
9 RepliesI wish that at least one of the vanguard scout rifles had the explosive rounds perk
-
The vanguard hand cannon is suffering from what was fixed in the alpha/beta. 5 rounds in the magazine is terrible.
