Idc. You got you gear the way you wanted to/ is more convenient to yourself. I will welcome anyone to a raid group as long as you are on reasonable lvl. I'm not gonna bully someone based on how they got there gear.
Some people need to get there heads out of there asses and grow up. Seriously.

2 RepliesTbh I was a little irked when I realised my raid armour is pretty useless now and that the playing field has been levelled to enable people to reach a higher level than me when APPEARING to do less work....... But I did not take into consideration how harsh the random drop system can be on some player's, I've spoken to randoms who did the raid a lot more than me but got stuck at 29 due to bad luck so I really can't be to bitter cos if I was in there shoes I'd be frigging relieved that the vendor armour is now able to get you past the 30 mark, although I do think it should only have took you up to 30 not 31 to keep us all sweet but oh well. Besides however you get to lvl 30 etc in destiny it's pretty much always earned.

4 RepliesAre ppl really getting a annoyed about faction gear? Lvl cap is 32 in which you need raid gear for, faction can get you to 31. Is this really a issue? I'm lvling as high as I can get before going into the new raid cause why not. Play how you want ppl

Yeah I'm shading my VoG raid gear now that my warlock has hit 31 through the vanguard gear. I don't want to be playing with someone that says anything about it when their still sitting on 30 because they feel superior in their raid gear

I have raid boots, chest and arms and exotic helm. I bought the new helm so I can use my exotic chest then I got the arms as a drop. So just the legs to go. But same I don't give a shit where it comes from, it does not change the way someone plays the game based on where they got their gear. It's the same level after all. I'm happier my mates can go buy their gear as it makes it easier for them to survive.

Why wouldn't someone want tower gear? Being level 31 is a huge help for the raid

I still bought the new legendary gear as a stop gap until I receive the new raid gear, and or can upgrade my current exotic gear. Why would I choose to be stubborn and remain level 30, when I can advance to level 31 and be more useful in the raid. *Work smarter not harder.*

Bought boots and arms ran Crotas end with VoG gear got nothing but shards decided to run nightfalls and weekly to lvl to 31 since Crota is beast got sunbreakers from nightfall.

20 RepliesI am a level 30 with full raid armour and yes my hardwork has been undermined by the higher level vendor armour on sale but so what! I have now decided to give up on my raid gear as it just isn't as tough as the new armour and so to make things more even in the new raid, I will be sporting my new legendary armour. Anyone who complains about this needs to remember this is PvE and NOT PvP! PvE is all about teamwork, people working towards the same goals!

I put my raid gear in the vault and bought a few pieces and won a few........seriously, who cares about how you got it.....play the game and fight the RNG at your own pace. If folks want to avoid you, let it be because of the raging case of void-hepes you got from Xur's mom.

Seriously this whole fake and real 30 and 32 shit is annoying. Who cares how people get their armor? The only thing that matters in a raid is your level and experience

It was kind of nice. All I needed was the chest plate from the raid and never got it. So, I'm glad there is vendor gear. The RNG drops in raid stink for me. Out of all the raids I did the only drops I got were Atheon's epilogue, the gauntlets, found verdict, Hezens revenge and preadiths vengeance. All the rest was shards and energy. Oh ya I got chatter white and that crappy titan mark, big deal. I don't even use those.

Yeah forget that tower gear.... Who would want to be lvl 31 in a raid that has lvl 32 enemies. Noobs, ill stick to my lvl 30 gear. People are idiots. I had 2 lvl 30 characters and 1 lvl 29 before dlc. I will be getting them all to lvl 31 asap to better my raid endeavors.

I buy Future War Cult gear because: - Vault of Glass armour is absolutely terrible and looks ugly. The stats do not align with my play style. - Unlike the the rest of the game, I can guarantee myself rewards for my efforts from playing Crucible and spending the marks I earned. I do not care about the RNG drops because the game seems to reward the idiots and less skilled on that front. Today I went 2.55 in a Control game whereas some went 0.64 or something. He got a Legendary engram and I got nothing. My rewards come from marks. - Everyone uses Raid gear so everyone looks the same. - I'm not going to rely on RNG when there are perfect guns and armour available to me from the lovely Lakshmi-2. War is coming.

Most of us are not mad because your getting to lv30 the "fake" way(whatever the -blam!- that means) but the fact that this update made all the raid gear pointless. I mean why go through the raid if you can get marks and buy better gear. I mean if you play destiny for the first time right now you can get to lv31 before you step into the VoG.

2 RepliesIt's like this, I don't ever remember seeing someone hating on the garbage queens wrath gear you got it cuz you needed a stepping stone to get from 24 to 26+. The vanguard gear is a stepping stone to the new raid gear. And then with the next expansion will more then likely again become a stepping stone to that set of raid gear. I know for a fact I won't have to vanguard gear for ever.

The night before the DLC launched I finally got the VoG helm for my warlock and gloves for my Titan. Never equipped the Titan gloves; bought Vanguard gloves yesterday because they're better.
