First off, well written and informational. My problem stems from how vague it was all presented. First off, the info should have come from Bungie, not GI. Secondly, there was absolutely no mention of exotics starting at 300 once you level them, nor anything about needing less XP to master the guns again. It was as if the worst news came out first and only when the community blew up about it did Bungie get off their rockers and give more info. Had all of the information been presented at the start all of the rage could have been avoided. The leveling makes sense now, but any rage endured by Bungie is Bungie's fault alone.

I agree completely, and I am simply explaining what I've read in articles, watched in videos, and collected from the weekly patch notes and update information. In order to compensate for the newly available exotics in TDB, current exotics are being reset, but with a significantly increased rate of progression, and with an increased base damage. This has been mentioned multiple times, and I feel as though it has been grossly overlooked by an understandably outraged community. I want people to know that not all hope is lost, just a bit jaded. I'm just as flustered as the rest of the community, but I know that in the long run, it's for the best.

  • Understandable. This is an extraordinarily toxic community and the incessant bitching gets very old very fast. I was amoung the legions of pissed off folks, but now that I have the full story I'm not so upset anymore. Those that are still bitching will never stop. I swear it's the only reason that they play Destiny anymore...

I appreciate you taking the time to ask me questions and get the full story before jumping to conclusions and proceeding to insult me and discredit me because you "didn't like the post". What people don't seem to realize, is that PC MMO's, I.e. WoW as a prime exemplar, have been creating expansion passes and bi-monthly DLC releases that resets content in order to maintain equivalency ratings since the dawn of the MMORPG franchise. In order to truly make this a next generation online experience, the player has to be willing to undergo setbacks, sometimes disappointing setbacks, to move forward, and telling the developers to go suck a fat one and writing off the company because you're upset is childish and silly. I don't know, I feel like people would enjoy the game so much more if they stopped complaining and started progressing.
