Once the DLC releases, wouldn't that make the weapons from the Vault of Glass useless? Since obviously everyone would use the DLC weapons because they wold be much more powerful.
Unless they provide a way to upgrade them. I haven't heard of any news on this.

1 ReplyThe damage modifier on nightfall missions will keep those raid primary weapons relevant at least until hard CE becomes available.

1 ReplyNo I'm a regular player and will still go back to my VOG gear for the Raid I know how the weapons work in the vault and how they benefit me so they ain't obsolete

2 RepliesEdited by RecklessWaif98: 12/13/2014 8:12:10 AMBungie should have never increased the damage output on new legendaries offered by the gunsmith's. It makes the raid weapons and armour we worked and grinded so hard for, completely useless. I'm fine with them increasing the damage cap on Crota's End weapons and armour, but not on everything else. Vision of Confluence will become obsolete by next week. I was stuck on level 29 for over a month, and as soon as the new dlc came out I'm now a level 31 because I'm able to purchase better armour from the quartermasters in the tower instead of playing VoG in hopes of a piece of gear. Complete crap, and I hope they address this issue and return the tower gear to 27 light level instead of 33.

2 Repliesvoid loadouts on that new vex strike are DEFINITELY beneficial. Also, on heavily vex strikes like that I find some of the perks on the raid gear to be team-oriented.

1 ReplyEdited by Rubber Ducky Yellow : 12/15/2014 4:27:52 PMI still use the Vision of Confluence in all my raids and strikes, shot for shot its still better than any purple rifle ive come across, and it still beats my exotic primaries until I can get them fully upgraded.

1 Replystill great for nightfalls

3 RepliesPlease explain how they are 'useless', have they stopped firing?
-
5 RepliesWell, the raid weapons max out at 300 which equals to level 30. Crota's End is level 30, nightfall is level 30. We'll pretty much be fine until they release the hard raid.

3 RepliesAre they making a the VOG irrelevant?

1 ReplyWell, they wouldn't be useless for the Vault of Glass. However, the new weapons will all be more powerful, so it would make little sense to hang on to the existing legendaries. It would be a shame, because you get attached to certain guns, but I guess that's the sort of game this is. We went from common to uncommon to rare to legendary and exotic. The march goes on... Hopefully, they provide much expanded vault space with the DLC, so you can archive your favourites and them bring them back out for whenever nostalgia calls.
